Sad news from W Australia, extracted from Daily Mail website, freight train crash.

  • A Perth driver has died after rear-ending a stationary grain train outside Perth
  • The fatal crash happened at Jumperkine Station at 2am on Christmas Eve
  • A carriage on the grain train was lifted off the rails in the devastating impact
  • The crash shut down the major freight route which links WA to the eastern states
The freight train had travelled from Melbourne before the crash, which shut down the major freight route which links Western Australia to the eastern states.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau and Arc Infrastructure are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.....
