From RTT, it's interesting to see some long-distance freight services operating on the WCML today, despite the general shut-down.
They will be getting unusual priority for a change, with nothing else at all operating.
4Z43 Daventry-Mossend (the Tesco train) is one of these. After running impressively early to Carlisle it ended up an hour late.
There were also trains between Trafford Park/Southampton/Dollands Moor/Ditton and others.
The Caledonian Sleepers also seemed to operate, and would be the only passenger trains using Euston in daylight hours today.
So at least some of the nation's GDP was on rail today.
