Train manager in GBRf means train driver. Just a side note, you’ll have had to have passed your psychometrics already. GBRf will not be inviting people for assessments.

Is the only way to pass the psychometric through applying for a role? Or can you do it privately

https://rcg.org.uk/ say you can do them with them. There is a thread on it here a few years ago. I have no clue about them so you’ll have to do your own research but back then it was somewhere in the region of £500, and no guaranteed pass.

The GBRf TM adverts are deliberately targeting people who are probably sitting in talent pools that have got fed up of waiting… that way they don’t have to pay to organise OPC assessments.
