I saw a freight service passing Longton at 1449 today and have checked opentraintimes.com and there is no mention of it. Any ideas?

Yes, they're still there. They require aviation fuel for their engine testing.

There was a thread about Sinfin on here last October. The tanks originate from Grangemouth and form part of a class 92 hauled train from Mossend to Arpley.
