Can anybody help, please?

My parents live a spit away from the Poacher Line and have noticed a real upsurge in late night and early morning freight - mostly ballast, apparently and at least five additional trains per day (they think it's going off that way and not down the joint line).

I know there was an upgrade of the Boston to Skeggy part of the line, but I was under the impression this had completed some time ago.

Anybody any idea what these workings are? Are they temporary?

Thanks.

There's currently about 3 engineering trains from Whitemoor to various places on the Joint line most evening. At the moment they return in the morning via Sleaford, Rauceby, Ancaster and Grantham, passing through that area around 7am and 8am.

Hope this helps.
