Just been sorting through a bundle of 50+ London Underground Working Timetables, 1950s to 1980s covering most lines .

There in the 1950s issues for the Northern Line is a section - Working of Eastern Region Freight Trains - See scans i have attached for 1953 . Seems by the 1960s issue they no longer feature in the WTT . Can only so far see Freight Trains detailed on the Northern Line issues

I have got some scanned and listed up on my site at - Transport Past Times

There were BR freight trains over the underground into the diesel era such as over the East London line (I believe that traffic got diverted via Snow Hill??) and to Kensington West/Uxbridge which included class 27 workings. Freight also crossed over the eastern end of what's considered to be the District line but it was under BR ownership until after complete segregation.

The Metropolitan bo-bos that survived into the 60s worked on non-passenger but that might have been departmental movements rather than revenue freight?
