freight movements through Wem

Hello there all, I live right behind the line running through Wem, Shropshire. Line runs between Shrewsbury and Crewe. I've tried for a while to find some kind of schedule for when freights are moving on this section? Any ideas or info would be most welcome. Thanks.

Try Freightmaster, a brilliant site. It has Shrewsbury, so it shows the stuff through Wem.

Pretty sure Wem is a mandatory timing point in schedules so realtimetrains should show what paths are there.

If you subscribe to Freightmaster, in addition to the regularly updated
Shrewsbury table referred to above, I would be happy to put together
a custom timetable for Wem for you, only showing the freights which
actually run each day.

Sorry not to reply sooner, thanks for the info. I'll probably subscribe to the Freightmaster site soon, a specific timetable would be great.

As Mark at Freightmaster will probably be able to show you, one of the freights recent running through Wem has bee the Colas Coals from Portbury to Ratcliffe Power Station. As it has for the past few weeks been running on divert from it's usual route from Gloucester via the Chepstow & Severn Tunnel Jct, up the Marches and through Shrewsbury & Wem to Crewe, Down the WCML then either via Wolverhampton, Walsall to regaining its booked route at Water Orton or down to Nuneaton and Hinkley to reach Leicester via that way. Quite a long way around for something normally sent through the Midlands! Although the Colas Coals are not running at the moment because of the derailment in Gloucester yard.
