I'm trying to get out to video and photograph the Wool sand trains and the Hamworthy stone trains. So far I've found out that the loaded stone arrives at Hamworthy at around 1300 and runs on a wednesday. Any more timings would be much appreciated.

The only trains I know that run down this way are Freightliner's sand train and its associated empty moves and the Mendip stone train from the Westbury area. I can't nail down any times for these around the Poole area though. Currently unemployed so Freightmaster is out of the question.

I thought I saw that Hamworthy Goods tracks was being renewed, just before the Docks. Does that mean that it is anticipated that there more trafffic is headed that way?

Have no idea sorry...All i saw at Hamworthy on tuesday was one very rusty and empty goods yard...so unless there is something planned, at the moment theres no sign of any work going on there...

As for freight in dorset, The only thing running through dorset that i can think of is the daily Neasdon to Wool sand traffic & return and any engineers traffic for any engineering works down that way, apart from that Furzebrook is now closed and so all traffic now ceased and so the only traffic down that line from worgot junction (Wareham) is is moovements to & from the swanage railway...
