Hi,

I am wondering when the freight diagrams will start for HS2 construction, where the initial starting points will be and which routes from this point will be taken?

Is it true that land fill will happen at Croft Quarry in Leicestershire and Mountsorrel will provide the ballast going the other way?

That means the MML will be primarily the route chosen. Will the freight go directly south or head towards the Marston Vale/WCML route? Will it continue post EWR being finished in some sort of freight only capacity?

Thanks,

I doubt there will be enough construction going on to justify rail freight to the likes of Calvert until the main contracts are activated. However one former platform at Euston and one of the former backing-out roads are being converted to sidings for the station construction. Not sure when these come into use or when they are needed.

You won't see much for another year or so and most of it will be spoil to big holes in the ground. Most of it will start at Euston/Willesden and West Ruislip. Aggregates from the Peak District.
