Hello,

We are planning a rough North East holiday with my partner in the summer and I was looking at the Freedom of the Northeast rover. (7 consecutive days).

Looking at the fares, it gives a discounted fare of £101.45 with a Two Together railcard.

Would that be per person, i.e. £202.90, or is that covering both people travelling?

Per person
Also restricts use to not before 09:30 weekdays
4.5. Discounted tickets are not valid for travel between 04:30 – 09:29 hours, Monday to Friday, except on Public Holidays.

Thank you, is this 09:30 or 09:00?

Also, the reason I am asking is because doing a simulation on the TPE website gives this. Even though I clearly input two people (I also tried 2 adults with 2 Two Together railcards and this gives the same result), it shows me a price of £101.45.

Which, if it were to be the case, would be absolutely fantastic value, and would give us the freedom (pardon the pun) to explore at a whim.

0930 because the Two Together Railcard is not valid for use before 0930 on weekdays.

The rover itself is not valid before 0900 on weekdays, but the railcard condition takes precedence. If you wish to use it between 0900 and 0930 on weekdays you would have to buy the undiscounted rover.

ETA: Just to make it clear, the time restrictions don't apply on weekends or public holidays.

The £101.45 is per person. I have tried the same on the TPE website and get a similarly confusing response.
As @jfollows suggests the Rover itself is valid from 09:00 Monday - Friday, but the Two Together Railcard has a separate restriction of preventing use before 09:30, hence this Rover bought with that Railcard is not valid until 09:30.

Which means, of course, noting that it's a seven day ticket, that the Two Together railcard discounted North East Rover is valid all day on Saturdays /Sundays and (if applicable) on Public Holidays.
