Northern rail have 'teamed up' with Greggs the bakers and have made some coupons for various offers

Northern Rail said:
FREE Jam or Ring Doughnut
Buy one get one FREE - Cheese & Onion pasty
FREE Muffin - with any filled baguette
50p OFF - when you spend £2.75 or more

only available oop-north ;)

What counts as a 'North-western' shop I don't know - does it include Stockport?

My point exactly! Down at this cr@ppy and expensive end of the country, we're lucky to get a 3-for-2 on our overpriced pre-pack sandwiches - Along with all of the other things that make the south a complete and utter [Edited]!:roll:<(

Does anyone know if there's a decent sized Council flat in a half pleasant part of Halifax that's elegible for the HomeSwap scheme? 8)

wouldn't you just rather pay for a doughnut? :p and if SercoNed take over Southern, then you may get this more often!

It doesn't say where and when the rail ticket had to be used/issued.

I wonder where they class the North/West Divide.

Yeah, i was thinking along very similar lines if you parden the pun...

If you went to the counter, and presented the voucher, with a VT Advance ticket, i doubt they'd know any different at Greggs, unless you just happen to be served by a recently retired Train Manager ;)

I'd just get myself a PRIV from Buxton to Dove Holes.

Would come to a grand total of...

25p

By which time, I might as well have bought the 30p doughnut!

I do. But it says you need a rail ticket to get your free doughnut, and of course, I do not often need to purchase rail tickets.

I'd have thought it would be valid at Stockport, a leaflet came through showing journey times/costs between stations between New Mills and Ardwick (a station fantastically served compared to Piccadilly..) and the offer.
