I popped into Pumpkin at Southampton Central this morning with my bite and coffee cards for my £2.56 bacon roll and drink and was given a voucher for a free medium hot drink and 3x medium hot drink for 50p ones valid until the end end of October.

For those like me who go round supermarkets with a calculator thats 5 medium coffees for aprox 61p each.

Edit: no vouchers at Havant it seems.

At my Pumpkin Bacon Rolls are 1.99 or 1.00 with a drink. Only one member of staff enforces that it has to be a hot drink. I love the rolls they use so much, really sets me up for the day. Especially if I've left early.

I never used to like Pumpkin that much, but I recently started using the loyalty cards when I'm out and about - when I'm on a rover, I can usually get a free hot drink fairly quickly. The one in Nottingham also does the best chocolate fudge cake I've eaten in awhile, not sure whether other places have this or not.

If you don't fancy Pumpkin is there a Subway nearby ?

They do a breakfast sub and hot drink for £2 before 11am in most outlets.

Loyalty card available as well !!!

I was talking to a Pumpkin Manager the other week who said the idea for the flyers described above is for staff to hand them out around the station, rather than just to existing customers. Which I have certainly seen happen. Much confusion at the idea of a breakfast sandwich and drink for £1.50 tho!

Makes sense - there's not much point in giving one to me when I walk in with a bite card and coffee card. However looking at the caliber of some SSP staff I wouldn't be surprised if at some stations they never leave the back office.
