France - TER Tickets

I'm going to be transferring myself and my bike from the ferry to the train in Calais on Friday evening. When I'm getting local trains in France I normally just buy the ticket on the way to the station using the SNCF Connect app, lovely and simple. Obviously I can't do that before reaching the station if I'm on my bike and there is quite a tight connection that would be great to catch. It's not a problem for me to get the next train (an hour or so's wait), but obviously I don't want to be hanging around if I don't have to. When I've bought local tickets before on SNCF Connect, it's offered me tickets for a specific train rather than a route e.g. the 17.20 rather than Calais to Amiens on x day.

So I was wondering whether anyone knew if online tickets are transferable between trains on TERs (I'm aware of the different classifications of train in France and that some are reservation only)?

It's no big deal if they're not transferable, but it'll decide whether I buy a ticket in advance to improve my chances of making it onto the earlier connection.

Full price single and return TER tickets are valid on any train on the date you specify when buying the ticket.

You can also buy a ticket at https://www.ter.sncf.com/hauts-de-france and print it off before you leave home.

Since some years some of the newly formed areas/regions offer their own specific lower fares. The high north (Hauts du Nord) is among them and it may well be that you first see that special-train specific, lower price. THESE thus also do not include changes. As duncanP also tells: normal full fare is always for at least that day in any train.
Cal-Am can be done more or less direct-via Boulogne or via Lille-may be faster, though longer. There are also a few (prestige?) TER-GV trains, yes with TGV, only doing local trips-perhaps it is just one of those you hit first. Check times etc. yourself. And have a nice trip!

Thanks, I'm avoiding the TER GV services as you can't take a bike on one. Got one of the rare TGV bicycle bookings to Strasbourg the next day though for some 320km/h goodness.
