A friend of mine noticed last week that he is still able to "re-use" his Off-Peak Return from another station on the Southside into GLC. He passed through the barriers going into town and out twice on Thursday, when he had two separate trips to make into the city.

Is this a common fault of ticket gates, not 'marking' them or de-magnetising them as used?
