How odd.... it seems to be loading consistently fine here. I've made some changes though which will hopefully improve things.

I had Cloudfare error message pages coming up intermittently from my half-3 middle aged toilet break to about half an hour ago. Would load a page and then fall down again. Seems stable now.

Now working fine for me too. Whenever I see the problem it seems to be very early in the morning. Try setting your alarm a couple of hours earlier :D

I could not access the website at 02:30 this morning.
That's part of our new "Time to go to bed" feature that we've silently introduced. It's to encourage members to go to bed rather than browse the Forum in the middle of the night ;)

This morning I have started having this and similar adverts for railway things pop up on the bottom of the screen. They used to be at the bottom of a page but are now appearing one at a time.

Can a request be made to the forum administration staff for those items not to appear on individual member websites if so requested. If so, I make such a request.

Likewise, but in my case in lary colours, which is distracting enough that I feel the need to cancel each time (the novelty of which is wearing off!).

I'm also getting this, with words in some posts seeming to have links embedded in them, as shown below. However, I only get this on my (Android) phone and my iPad, not on my desktop computer. I'm using Chrome as the browser on all three. Even without the exciting colours that @Tester is seeing, the novelty wore off very quickly, especially as a slight mistouch brings up an almost full page advert.

Could that be down to a dodgy browser add-in/extension or whatever they’re called?
I don't think so as nothing on my phone and iPad has changed since yesterday, and none of this appeared yesterday. I'm also logged in to Chrome, so would expect to see the same across all devices.

It appears to have gone away.

If someone, somewhere, has done something - thank you!

Google decided to automatically opt us into some experimental advertising

We have opted out of the experiment as we have no interest in it so no-one should be seeing it again.

It would have been nice to be asked beforehand!

There seem to be some problems again this morning - pages slow to load, and several times I've been dumped out with a Cloudflare time-out error message. It doesn't appear to be the result of a huge number of "guests" this time though.

Error code 522, if that helps ;)

Admin have been working in the background. Some unscheduled downtime in response to the fault seems to have solved the problem for now. Turning it off and on again is a good go to ;)

Helpfully, I believe the forum has automated software to alert admins to problems too.

Not a loading problem, but I no longer seem to be receiving email thread activity notifications? Is anyone else having this issue? Seems to have stopped this morning. I've checked my account settings, everything looks fine there
