Oh, HST Power, the busiest hour on here is 2100; with 0400 the quietest (according to Mojo's forum stats he does every so often).

I'm never on that late but I do admit that my timetable can occasionally evolve around my posting. It should be the other way round, but that's heading towards a completely different subject and I've have far too many posts deleted lately!

Unfortunately there ar eno shops in my area open at 2200 on a Saturday, so it looks like I'll have to have a bath...though I only had one four months ago :cry:
The forum update has now been completed.
Whilst we were down, we took the opportunity to make a small number changes to the forum.
The 'Admin Announcements' forum has been renamed to 'Forum Announcements.' This better reflects the nature of this forum as both Administrators and Moderators can post in this section and it also contains a variety of information regarding the forum.
The most noticeable is the removal of the 'Feedback' link from the top of the home page. This was one of the most prominent pieces despite being clicked on in less than 1 in 1000 views of the home page. The 'Contact Us' link will remain in place in the bar at the bottom of every page and the link has been added to the forum rules, privacy policy and staff members threads in the 'Forum Announcements' section.
For a while now, the forum staff have been discussing the removal of post count increments in the Quiz forum. Whilst it was originally the case that posts made in this forum did not count towards users' overall post counts, this option was changed a few years ago. With the growth of new posts which require short answers and the overall growth of the use of this section, it was decided to change this option.

Interesting... This has shocked a few of us who are no longer established members!
However, we no longer have to feel like we're cheating by posting a lot, so I suppose it's for the best.
I have to say, I can't remember the feedback button...shows how much attention I paid
The change to quiz posts not counting towards overall post counts - thats definitely a good move (although it may annoy some people :P) - I won't feel quite so bad about posting there so much now

Have posts that have already been made in the quiz section been deducted from our totals? On phone so can't check, sorry.
Yep - some members post counts have gone down by a fair bit!

Yes. They have. My post count has more than halved. (Thank goodness.)

It has just been pointed out to me that whilst I only have 519 posts, my total over the last 28 days is well over 1000, meaning I lead that section of the top posters board....

I would like to thank you for taking this course of action. There are members who enjoy the use of the quiz forum in addition to the rail-oriented sub-forums that make your website the leader in its field.
The number of postings shown should only reflect an actual figure of entering into debates in rail matters.
Would the next logical step be to have any quiz totals deleted from the four-column (daily, weekly, monthly,etc) list of postings made. I have not checked this page recently, but the number of quiz questions that I had answered on the previous day that was reflected in the first column figure horrified me. If you have already done this as part of your new ststem update, I apologize for not looking on there first.
Gosh, this was a suprise. Posting totals have crashed!
So if somebody can just be so kind as to clarify, posting in the Quiz Forum do not count as part of your overall total, correct?

You shouldn't be posting for the post count! I think this is what the Admin's wanted to avoid, thus they took the decision that quiz answer's wouldn't count.
Think of poor Track Basher though - he must have very few posts now!
