Timetable is now available for the nene valley railway steam gala. Also, tickets have gone on sale on line for the gala and also for brake van rides.

Unfortunately the duke of Gloucester will not be at the event. But it has been confirmed that bittern will be there instead.

Apparantly there is a diesel gala at the Battlefield Line on 10th and 11th November, however the Shackerstone Diesels website hasn't been updated since 2010.

Just checked the website as I was planning to go. Diesel gala is cancelled. Now just 47635 and 640 running on Saturday and a DMU on Sunday.

A shame.

Last diesel event of 2012 :
Bo'ness & Kinneil diesel gala on 29th December. Most of the home fleet plus a Colas 56.

First diesel event of 2013 :
East Lancs have a BR Green Day on 5th January. D2062, D3781, D335, D1501, D9016 and a class 117 DMU are running.
