Toto has already said he's willing to give Grosjean a test in the Merc when he's ready.

Caveated that he'll give him a test if no other team does. The ideal situation would be for Romain to do the test with Haas for the most complete closure

Possibly a day of history, as a George Russell win will make him the 20th British Driver to have won a Grand Prix - the first new British winner since Lewis Hamilton at Canada 2007 and the 110th overall!

Jeepers - the way that was written, I thought I had spoiled the race result for myself!

Fantastic to hear that at least one of the teams is onboard. Grosjean has earned himself a great deal of respect, both within the racing community and outside, for the mental fortitude and bravery that he has shown. Quite frankly incredible.

Also with George being a Wolverhampton Wanderers Fan (as pictured last August v Man Utd!), I can't help being biased that a good result for him and then a Wolves win v Liverpool, will make it one awesome night!

Also did they manage to put a mixed tire selection Russell? It like a crap kwik fit out there!

Hamilton appears to have unreal luck, both on his car and the team it would seem!

A rare good showing from Ocon too, fingers crossed Russell can at least claim a solitary point today

That race for third in the constructors came to the fore again, McLaren suffered particularly I think

Crazy, crazy stuff!

Sergio becomes the 110th Formula 1 Grand Prix winner and the 2nd from Mexico.

GUTTED for George, as he would have AT LEAST been on the Podium but very glad he got his first points.

Also credit to Ocon with his first Podium visit and if Red Bull don't snap up Perez, I'll be AMAZED as that is what Horner has always wanted: another Winner and someone who can challenge Max.

But at least he's left his mark at the team and they know who to call when one of the drivers leaves. On another note, Bottas is probably getting nervy as George smoked him in this race, with Toto reportedly saying to the Germans that he'll talk with Bottas's people .

Apparently Toto stopped managing Bottas when he signed for Mercedes.

Well yes but in the wet race a few weeks ago Hamilton demonstrated why he is a World Champion as he has done in a number of races and not just the car. Lets also not forget Hamilton tuck a chance on Mercedes when their form wasn't that great and many were saying he should stay with with Mclaren, In fact I was watching an old Top Gear the other day at the point where he had just signed for Mercedes and Clarkson says 'isn't it a bit like moving from Man Utd to West Ham' well how wrong your were on that one Mr Clarkson

Apparently Toto has hinted that Russell in 2022 might be a possibility, they are clearly not going to turf Bottas out of his seat for next year as some have suggested and they shouldn't in my view, Bottas is a very good driver if not the very best who has contract for next year.

Well, so what do we now know:

- Russell is the real deal. Instead of winning from the front, he got dumped into 15th through no fault of his own with a only a few laps to go and still got into the points.

- Bottas is a wingman. Yet is there any real shame to be wingman to champions, either existing or potential?

- Even the mighty Mercedes can do Keystone Kops amateur ... and Toto knows some bad words.

- Perez is like Button, even if not quite one of the greats can on occasions produce a drive that is simply sublime.

- Leclerc needs to focus the turn 1 red mist.

- Albon will be searching for a new seat after next week.
