former TfL Citaro?

A German documentary claimed that Arriva's Londen Mercedes Citaro buses were shipped to Malta. Apparantly they had an issue with catching fire. They are now suppose to be sold to Sudan (where I am sure they will be incombustable -ironie-).
Is there any truth in that rather tabloid-style report?
