I was under the impression that if you forget your season ticket you can claim back the cost of your journey with contactless or other means of payment up to three times per year? A few weeks back I thought I'd lost the Oyster card that my monthly 1-6 is stored on, so as well as paying for that day's journey by contactless I also purchased a replacement Oyster card in preparation to receive the replacement monthly pass that I was going to order. So I called up TfL to claim back my £14.90 but was told that this is not the case but they would consider a goodwill refund of up to £12.50. I subsequently found my Oyster card but the following week I managed to forget it on one of the days so I now believe that I won't be able to make another claim. I know it looks odd forgetting/losing my pass twice in 7 days but these things can happen, we're only human after all! Was I given the correct information? If so when did this change? Or was it ever thus?
