Forest Hill to Tunbridge Wells

I'm planning a trip to Tunbridge Wells on a Saturday in the near future (apologies for not giving the exact date as I don't know yet!)

Wondering if I should buy a Via London CDR, split the journey using Oyster to London Bridge or use Southern advances or a Daysave to Tonbridge via East Croydon, then a CDR between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, although this would restrict my ability to travel home, which is why I'd prefer to use Southeastern where possible.

Would the maltese cross ticket allow me to use London Overground to Canada Water and the Jubilee line to London Bridge?

There is no London Not Underground fare here.

The Any Permitted fare includes a relevant tube transfer.

Forest Hill - Tunbridge Wells is mapped LONDON route.

Unfortunately the Overground has only been open for 3 years, and because ATOC are not accountable to anyone, they haven't added a map for the line to Canada Water, and basically the Overground past New Cross Gate is technically only valid as a shortest route, which obviously wouldn't apply here, since you are heading towards London to do this and therefore quite a lot longer than the shortest route via Crystal Palace.

It should IMO be valid with no problem, but technically it isn't.

It's cheaper in any case to buy a z1-6 travelcard and a BZ6-Tunbridge Wells CDR, which would be valid.

I'm quite happy for them not to start messing around with the maps to be honest, especially those in the area being discussed!
