Hi everyone. New member but have been following the forums for a while.

I'm working on something that's hopefully really interesting - trying to work out the amount of upcoming contracted and prospective/ rumored UK rolling stock out to 2024 by manufacturer - Siemens, Bombardier, Hitachi.

I wondered if anyone would have anything to add to my list on contracted stock:

Bombardier class 345: Crossrail 1; EMU; CP5-504 cars, CP6-90 cars
Bombardier class 378; London Overground; EMU; CP5-180
Siemens class 707; South West; EMU; CP5-150
Siemens class 350; various; EMU; CP5-40
Bombardier class 357; c2c; EMU; CP6-68
Bombardier class 387; ThamesLink and Gatwick; EMU; CP5-224
Siemens class 700; Thameslink; EMU; CP5-1140
Hitachi AT200; ScotRail; EMU; CP5-234
Hitachi 800/801; various; D/EMU; CP5-596, CP6-270

Wondered if would anyone have anything else to add that's contacted?

And I haven't even started on the rumoured/ prospective stuff like CrossRail2 etc - if anyone has any idea?

Thanks!!

The LO trains won't be 378s, they will be new Aventra trains similar to the Crossrail trains. Similar story with the C2C order as well, they won't be 357s. The Thameslink 387s have all been delivered as far as I know. I wasn't aware of any additional 350s! Where did you hear this?

Offering 2:1 odds hes working directly or indirectly for the Labour party trying to work out what nationalisation would entail.

Save yourself the bother by emailing Roger Ford and ask him for his spreadsheet that does this.

There is no way that any more 350s will be built, the design doesn't meet the current crash regs and I don't think that Siemens would offer it now anyway as the newest ones are based on the 380s

As the current designs seem to be having a few problems meeting the crashworthiness standards, they are hardly likely to resurrect the old designs again ??????

Also Siemens will be lacking the resources to take on any more orders until the Thameslink order is delivered.

and the SWT class 707 order (can't remember if either SWT or TL have options available for follow on orders)

700 deal has extra trains and/or carriages plus some recongifuring opitions attached (10 car trains is one possible idea along with making 8 cars 12).

EDIT:

New LO stock is class 710.
