We seem to have a new thread started when there is also an active one on the topic on the "Alterations, Diagrams and Timetables" Board where the return journey is also referred to.

ATW went far beyond what many expected.

The day showed great teamwork between two TOC's which while part of the same group are separate and so there were challenges to overcome. I hope that ATW management will be satisfied by positive publicity and some profit and will look at providing similar additional services for future events.

I couldn't agree more. Sold out in two days with very little advance publicity. People who travelled on it I've spoken to (okay they were in 1st class) report an excellent journey even though rerouted through Crewe.

Steward was very busy but very effiecient and attentive. They were impressed and very comfortable.

Good to hear it Rydon,a few on Buses I have spoken to wished they had gone via \Gerald and not Arriva Bus etc. But dam the Weather as a spoiler on return.

correct that number of coaches was about correct,it was a Sunday and in my opinion ATW did what they could with their resources.

They lost league two due to a property developer making the racecourse go bust, dont forget Swansea were in the same trouble a few years ago.

Bob

Actually that was league one that they got the ten point deduction in because of Hamilton and his antics (though, geniuses that they are, the FA only deducted the points after Hamilton had been run out of town by the auditors and the Dismal Jimmys), they lost their League Two because of the next lots incompetence, both in running the club and in appointing Carey instead of Ferguson Jnr as manager after Smith left.

Its much better run now the fans own it, mind.
