You ought to have seen the whinging & whining about the gates at Ash in the Surrey Advertiser earlier in the year, it was shameful.
I do find the length of time those gates are down is dubious considering the linespeed and where the protecting signals are, i believe there is only one passenger train each way, per hour, that doesn't call at Ash.
Wokingham barriers are terrible, they are almost constantly down and they gridlock the immediate area, especially the station carpark.
Klambert, next time have alook in the waiting room/ticket office. There is a good selection of used books there, all available to buy for a small donation to the nearby Frimley Park hospital. I try to pick one up at least once a month and i've never disappointed. If i can't find something to my liking, there is usually something suitable for the Nephew.
I think Farnborough North will be higher on the list for footbridges, given that there is a red/green light foot crossing that is frequently abused.
