I was at Gomshall on the North Downs line the other day, and I was blown away by the scale of the footbridge. I understand that the historic footbridges at other stations were not wheelchair accessible, and NR may be required to install something that is, but I suspect the ramps here contain more metal than there is brick in the entire village. I don't understand how such a lightly used station can justify the cost of this behemoth. I guess lifts would be even more expensive and less reliable.
