Not this claptrap again :roll: It was the same in 2008 when they reached the FA Cup Final.

I gnuinely do not see why the FA/whoever are/were so stuck up about this. What would they do if Cardiff won the League (remember - they have gone closer than any other club to have not yet done so)?

The FA should either include them fully and fairly or not allow them to compete in English football at all. I don't see why they should be effectively half-in (compete), half-out (not represent).

I didn't mean like that - I wasn't around then either! I meant it was well publicised when Cardiff reached the FA Cup Final in 2008.

Couldnt agree more. Understand why the Welsh clubs ply there trade in England, lack of money and crowds and prestige.I played in Welsh Premier league for 4 years and enjoyed it.
But there isnt enough intrest from sponsor's, and the general public.

Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham, Colwyn Bay, Newport Co could all play in Welsh Prem and be guaranteed Champions league and Europa league if there wanted to.

Off for my first taste of French football tomorrow. A nice double of Reims v Angers in the second division in the afternoon. Then Lille v St Etienne from the top division in the evening. With the added bonus of some Eurotunnel loco haulage thrown in !!
And as a bit of a contrast from football in this country its £7 to get in the second division game and a shade under £18 to get in the top division game

Yes I agree.

What about Liverpool tanking (at least scorewise) UTD .... how do you lose 3-1 to Bolton than knock the top two teams in the country out of cup competitions in two succesive matches.

Perhaps Liverpool and Chelsea should do a player swap, send Torres back to Liverpool and Carroll to Chelsea.

Could well be complacency, Liverpool would have been expected to walk all over Bolton but knew the Manchester clubs would be a problem? Alternatively the cups could be seen as more important this season since the Manchester clubs are practically running away with the league - certainly the fans would prefer the cup to fourth place.

Or of course Dalgleish (spelling?) could have shoved the proverbial rocket up their collective arses. I'm just glad that we're still in the hat (thanks to playing after the draw )

Epic Fail on my part, today i was out bashing the A60s on the Met Line and when i got home i went to see on the puter how well or if recent results suggest how bad they did, i found out that Arsenal are infact playing yet again on a Sunday. To say i am so out of touch with my team is a understatement. That means i now have to suffer the brother in law coming round and taking the pish when we lose to Villa.

I'm a United fan, and as much as I don't like losing to arch rivals, there are times when it all goes to far. Disgusting behaviour, puts a real bad name on United fans and English football.

I really wouldn't worry about that. I'd say it'd be a 0-0 but our defence thinks a clean sheet is something you put on your bed!

The fortunes of the league leaders, Hyde FC, have slumped badly since the start of 2012 with yet another 1-0 away defeat (by a last minute penalty) at Solihull Moors, yet amazingly they remain 12 points clear of the second club, Stalybridge Celtic, who are faring even worse, as they lost 0-4 at home to Colwyn Bay.

The team coming into form is Guiseley, who drew 2-2 at Histon, and they now have four games in hand on Hyde FC.

You must be watching a completly different game to me then. Arsenal have nothing to look forward to except more of the same. Very tough games along with a stubborn Manager who thinks that nothing is wrong will see Arsenal finish below Villa at the end of the season.

I never watched the Arsenal game but noticed the attendance given on the BBC site is 60019.

Are Arsenal season ticket holders forced into buying cup match tickets like Man U fans are/were even if they don't want them hence the attendance is given as a sell out?
