Shock, Horror Arsenal score more then one goal! But to put things in their correct perspective they concided three. Yet another away loss, we are so becoming a team that i followed in the 1970s. When will this board wake up and smell the coffee, in order to have a good team you need to spend money and vast amounts of it. If you dont spend you become what you are and at the moment that is below average. Not looking forward to play the Villians in the FA Cup, as for AC Milan forget that im just glad ill be working when these games are being played
This team is shocking to watch, my wife had to remind me that i had high blood pressure, she also said that sky sports will be cancelled at the end of the month, which is good because i will be able to see united try to put another eight past us this time at home next Sunday.
Van Persie we see the folly of staying at a struggling side, and will go in the summer when we accccept a paltry £20 million pounds for him so we can get a player on loan, get a player coming towards the end of his career, get a unknown 12 year old for the future. That is what sums this once great club up!

I think there are a lot of very happy Swansea city fans tonight the bars and pubs in and around Swansea I suspect will be doing a very good trade.
I heard the final score on the radio while driving back from Port Talbot I must admit the score did surprise as I was expecting Arsernal to win or a draw.

I thought you guys were supposed to be pushing for promotion [as much as I don't like it]? An attitude like that will only result in one thing next season if you do go up - going straight back down again.

Well as I keep reminding my "Vile" friends, Randy employed a manager who had got their noisy neighbours relegated the season before and that shows the lack of ambition in the Villa in that a) they felt the manager from the Blue side of Birmingham could do a better job, and b) they felt a manager who got a team relegated could do a better job. The only job McLeish did that the Villa fans appreciate him for was getting us relegated

We are. But it's truly horrible football to watch. There's a schism between those who are willing to tolerate it to get promotion and those who think we've sold our soul for short-term gain. I'm the latter.

Well he is paying for it now as more and more Villa fans vote with their feet and stay away. Under 32000 for the visit of Everton yesterday. Probably 3000 Everton fans there. Its not going to be too long before we see sub 30000 crowds at Villa Park. People will not put up with paying £30plus to watch the unambitious garbage we are currently seeing. I know personally of 4 season ticket holders who have given up going despite having tickets. It really is getting desperate.
We are dark horses for relegation make no mistake about it. We do not have any fight in us at all and when push comes to shove and teams beneath us start fighting for every point we are in big trouble. And if rumours I am hearing of mcleish starting to lose the dressing room are true we could be in for a long hard 4 or 5 months or so.
There always seems to be one team every year who look safe but then slide to relegation. This year it could be us. Last year it was the gypos from St Andrews. Oh I wonder what the two have in common

If you want to know how bad Leeds are then a 1-1 against ten men Crystal Palace doesn’t go half way to explaining it. The referee was so bad I was embarrassed for him, I’m not sure how he got out of Selhurst Park alive. The decision to send off a Palace player in the first half was a joke and pretty much every 50-50 went Leeds’ way and we still couldn’t win, even with the ref playing for us.

They are just rumours - Dewsy denied them (but he would). The rumours last night was that he would leave in the morning, now it is anytime today.
One of the sets of rumours was started as a joke by a LUFC fansite (WACCOE), the one being Di Canio to replace him.
We need to stick by him, but I don't think he is going to take us up this year. I don't want us to go up. If we do, we will have to pay even more, we will sell our best players and come crashing back down. Bates will blame agents, fans, players, the moon everyone but himself the greedy old chelsea... (stopping now before I get told off by a mod)
On the 21st of Jan it will mark 7 years of Ken's reign at Leeds. We were at 11th in the Championship then, we are in 11th in the same league now. Great ambition and investment on his part. So glad we have just spent ~£7m to install boxes in the East stand, considering how we rarely sold out all our existing ones.
Before anyone else jumps in with "Don't hate Bates, he saved Leeds". Yeah, twice. The second time he put us into admin, and the creditors refused to deal with a bid from anyone other than the guy who ran us into admin.... He only just bought more of Leeds from "overseas investors" becuase the FA were changing the regulations on ownership, these investors being unnamed and not contacting anyone other than Ken himself.
He is a crook. BATES OUT. GRAYSON IN.

That East Stand development was a joke, why he wanted to 'develop' the newest stand in the stadium is beyond me. If he wanted stadium improvements then the West Stand or South Stand would have been better and would have been far more accepted by fans.
I like Grayson but at the moment the team is awful. Decent players leave for free or a tiny fee. We have never replaced Kilkenny and Johnson never mind Beckford and Gradel. The player Grayson has brought in are not good enough, yes I know that alot of it depends on Bates gives him financially but Grayson seems to want quantity rather than quality.
Luciano Becchio looks terribly out of shape.

Most of our players never really come back from an injury. Kasper last season, Becchio this. I personally rate Mika as a good attacking CM. He played out of his skin against Arsenal but looked to be unfit or maybe carrying an injury. The policy of players leaving and barely being replaced is part his (Simon's) fault but he can hardly replace Gradel when the money vanishes into Ken's pocket (or as Bates calls it, "Simon's warchest"). I think Townsend could be a good shout to replace Gradel, but as with most of Grayson's transfers he is a loan.
I agree, he does seem to prefer a large squad to a smaller more talented one, but that could be also imposed on him - it is easier to take in several loanees than to get Ken to pay up for a decent signing.

Conference giving them a deadline of Wednesday to confirm if Saturdays game against Fleetwood can go ahead. If not then the Conference will almost certainly expel them from the league

That can only go on so long though, keep in mind that many will either a) be employed full time by the club, or b) be on an average wage for another job; they cannot go unpaid forever. I forget if Darlington are full-time or not.

Well the wage bill at Darlington is in the region of £900k a year so i am guessing a lot of players are full time.
When will non league clubs realise that you cannot be full time on the sort of crowds they get. Weymouth are now talking about it. Utter madness and no wonder so many find themselves in serious trouble
