I wish we could have just one FA Cup Third Round where all 32 games were 1500 Saturday kick-offs, would make a delighful change.

As for Barton, it was a poor decision, but as it involved him I don't care! :lol:

Great shame for Darlo, someone has just put up a thread on the subject on the main Leeds United forum. Lots of people saying it's a great shame

Ultimatley it's the fans that lose out badly. Hope they can recover.

the press always seem to love to have a go at him, but he hasn't really done anything stupid for a while now; they just like badmouthing him cos he's barton. i remember last season when gervinho hit him, and he fell down. it was a bit soft, yes, but if he gets hit he's entitled to fall over. as he said, what's he supposed to do, stand there and trade blows? but the press had a right old go at him.
i feel sorry for him :(

That can't have been last season - unless I'm being very stupid this is Gervinho's first season in England...

I said nothing of the sort ;) - that was Barton Keyes

The way I see it is that certain players and teams have a reputation - Barton and Wolves have a reputation for being dirty so refs are more inclined to give them red cards more than they would for any other clubs.
The top clubs seem to get away with almost anything as evidenced

Just listening to BBC Tees and club legend and current interim manager Craig Liddle has stated that the administrator told him there are 7 days to save the club.

This is the statement the admisitrator relased this afternoon:

Statement on behalf of Joint Administrator Harvey Madden:

"I was appointed as Joint Administrator of Darlington Football Club (2009) Limited, together with my co-Administrator, Peter Gray, earlier today by the directors of the Club.

"I am currently exploring all options to try and find a way to enable the Football Club to remain in existence but the position of the Club is such that without any financial support from outside the Club or anyone willing to acquire the Club I will, unfortunately, have little alternative but to cease to trade in a very short time.

"Anyone interested in assisting the Club or acquiring the Club out of administration should therefore contact my office on 01642 790790 as a matter of urgency.

Liverpool are not appealing Suarez ban.
Well well. What a monumental climb down from the bin-dippers. Guess they thought all their lap-dog press buddies would support them. But when it became obvious no one was they have had to capitulate. Liverpool are fast becoming a very hateful club. Still no doubt it will give them another reason to grow that almighty chip on their shoulders.

A terrible situation though this is, it doesn't mean it's over for ever. Aldershot and Accrington Stanley have made it back, and Maidstone are on the journey too.
Good luck to Darlington and don't despair just yet.

IMHO, Ian Holloway would be crackers not to put out a full strength first team, we all know that funny things can happen & Fleetwood could stun Blackpool!

My second fondest wish is to see Man City and Man Utd implode though. My fondest wish is that small heath implode

May have been a crap night for Liverpool but it was a good one for my fantasy team!
