Listening to the radio they are speaking about goal line technology. How can anyone say they don't want it?

Sepp Blatter and co. probably live on Mars, where the technology hasn't yet been fully developed and thus may disrupt the experience.

As soon as a company offers to 'sponsor' it for huge money in the World Cup FIFA will probably change their minds.

If refs made as many mistakes as players we really would be up a creek without a paddle.
The day I hear the manager of a club that has just won moan about the ref I will eat my hat. It's always the losers.
The ones that really get me are the ones that say something along the lines of "The corner for their winning goal was never a corner". Oh so that means your defenders negate their duty to defend said corner properly then

While the 'human element' is still in play the officials can still be accused of bias.

We played 3 corners a penalty when I was at school. Do that to stop frivolous appeals. Seriously though, once their 3 appeals have been turned down they can't appeal any further decisions, it would make sure they only appealed if they really though there was a case for it.

I'd make dissent and diving a straight red and the team that goes below the minimum number of players first not only forfeits the match but an additional five points deduction.

I'd like it if there was a penalty for dissent similar to the 10 metre penalty that rugby referees will give.

Diving should be a 2 match penalty for me.

What I can't understand is England appealing the ban that Rooney got for kicking the Macedonia player. In the English leagues you'd expect to get banned for violent conduct.

It only seems a very short time ago that Newcastle United were undefeated in third place in the Premiership......whatever has suddenly caused such a dramatic change in the form of the club? Another defeat on Friday night, 1-3 against Liverpool, sees them down in seventh position.

I would put it down to the loss of Stephen Taylor. Before his injury, the back four (and goalkeeper) had been pretty much unchanged, but since then, there's been quite a bit of chopping and changing.

Forest really need some wins to climb out then hopefully away from the drop zone. Not quite sure where they are coming from though, we have been truly dreadful as of late. Really fear we are heading inexorably towards relegation this season

Unless Forest run into some serious cash, it seems that you will be stuck yo-yo-ing between Championship and League One for a while to come yet. Some recent trend suggests ex-giants who got relegated to League One and bounced back do well if they have the financial support from a rich owner, eg. Southampton, Leicester, etc, while those without, ie. Wednesday, have now become stuck in a pretty vicious circle.

Championship is fast becoming a baby-version of the money-dominated Premiership and unless you are fortunate enough to have a highly-talented manager, you will need the backing of a cash-rich daddy.

On the theme of favourite grounds, I would say Hillsborough and City Ground for me, and the worst must be the Hawthorns and Sixfields.

This whole thing stinks of a set-up. The connections of one tribunal member (of three) with Ferguson, the whole timing, and the complete lack of verified evidence makes the process a farce.
As for "bringing the game into disrepute" - the game has been in disrepute for so long, one more sin couldn't push it much deeper.

The football governing body is as corrupt as any other organisation where big contracts and billions of money is involved.
