Generally during minute's silence on Remembrance weekend they make plane noises or some other form of interruption, it has definitely been reported in the past. They also never wore Poppies until Mowbray made them a couple of seasons back. Add that to the abuse of British soldiers touring the Emirates when they played there, and that tells you all you need to know about Celtic.

An element of the Celtic support have 'issues' with the British forces and lets be honest, given some of the stuff that went on in Northern Ireland you can understand why that is the case even if you don't agree with it. That's for a politics thread though and this is a football thread!

As for your poppy claim, Aberdeen and the other clubs in the SPL, probably Rangers and Hearts aside, only started wearing a poppy on their shirts a couple of seasons back when PoppyScotland asked all SPL teams to wear poppies for Remembrance Weekend. This was at the same time as when Celtic started to wear one.

A pity you've reduced yourself to trying to point score against your rivals.

The President of FC SION has issued a statement saying that he wants the UEFA chief Michel Platini arrested and imprisoned under some ruling made by a minor Swiss canton court. He did this following the expulsion of his club from the Europa League, following their unsuccessful appeal. There is now an argument ensuing between FC SION and FIFA.

Don't they have a ruling about "bringing the game into disrepute" at either UEFA or FIFA level? This club should receive a sine die ban from any future European club tournament, after all the events of the last week.

A home defeat in the first of this season's "matches proper" will be a bitter pill for the Italians to follow on after their 4 - 3 defeat by Palermo in the opening match in this year's Serie A league competition. Wesley Snijder played last night, after being dropped for the Palermo game, but was only a shadow of the player we all know him to be.

I can certainly see the last two happening, not sure on the Old firm game, I think we'll see a winner but not sure which side yet. About the only certainty is that Lennon will make himself look silly and Rangers fans will be accused of singing sectarian songs. Hope it is an entertaining game from a footballing perspective.

I'd forgotten there is also the small matter of Milwall v West Ham on Saturday. London Bridge should be fun...

A better but ultimately disappointing performance in Spain last night, the softest of goals given away in the 3rd minute, but then we gave as good as we got, and ball retention was much improved, but always being a realist, we were up against one of the potential winners of this years competition, no disgrace, now for a trip down Ibrox way on Sunday...

According to the Swiss court in the Canton of Vaud nobody won last last night as they've invalidated the result.

Does the Swiss court in the Canton of Vaud really have any legal jurisdiction to affect football matters within the jurisdiction of FIFA or UEFA? A test of this would have been if they had made their legal ruling before the match and then seen if it had been played. How would matters be if a similar status court in Spain were to legally make a challenge to the ruling of the Swiss court.

I can't see how they can.

Sion are obviously chancing their arm as they are based in the same country as UEFA, FIFA and CAS are.

How would matters be if a similar status court in Spain were to legally make a challenge to the ruling of the Swiss court.

They'd get laughed at, just like if a Scottish or English court made a similar ruling.
