I see Football League fixtures have just been released this afternoon:
Is there anyone here whose team will be playing in a different league and is looking forward to visiting new grounds? or indeed anyone whose team is now in the same league as a team whose ground you'd like to visit? For example any League 2 supporters here may be looking at a trip to York City!
However, I can't seem to find details of when the 2027 Play Off weekend will be; in previous seasons it has been either the penultimate weekend of May, or the final weekend of May. Does anyone know which it will be in 2027?

From looking at Wembley events (nothing on EFL as you reference), it looks like all 3 will be on May bank holiday weekend (29/30/31) no doubt with order to be confirmed. FA cup final is 22nd May and the Rugby League Challenge Cup final is the first Saturday in June - I guess it must then be that final weekend in May. Also means complete before Champions League Final on 05/06/27
Oh and as a Sheffield Wednesday fan, looking forward to a number of Yorkshire derbies in the next season.

It's been the Spring (Whitsun) bank holiday weekend now for a good number of years. I don't think there was ever any likelihood of it changing.

Was that before or after the shop?! Once they built Normid over the Embankment, where my mum and grandad survived the disaster, I stopped watching Bolton and blanked them. Rather they went bust than trample all over the dead. Sorry to be so serious but had mum died, I wouldn't be here.

Hackney to Everton, for £16.5m upfront an a potential £8.5m in add-ons. Boro caught with their pants down. Any Everton fans here you've got a right player on your hands but just know he's always Boro really a document doesn't change that.

£16.5m of guaranteed payment is nowhere near enough. At least £25m upfront for me. Watch him take a big money move in 2 or 3 years and Boro made to look stupid yet again for basically gifting a premier league team.

Hackney only had one year left on his contract at the smogs, allowing that to happen was their big mistake rather than any failure of negotiation with Everton. And there could be a juicy sell-on clause in the deal too
They got offered more last summer but he decided to stay. Now he's got one less year on his contract, not entirely sure what you are expecting.

He's massively improved over this last season. That pushes his price up from last season. I thought he was poor in the 23/24 season but then last season he was absolutely unplayable. He has improved leaps and bounds since Ipswich's bid, a much more physical presence as well.

He has one year left on his contract. Boro had a deal done with Ipswich last year for more money but he didn't want to go.
he isn't going to sign another deal. Plus he needs to move on to see if he really is as good as they say. There is a sell on apparently plus c.£8m in performance clauses.
but still in the last year of his contract. There is also some suggestion Palace offered more but "the lad" wanted to go to Everton.

Boro were happy to keep hold. I'd have liked to have seen a bit of a bidding war between Everton and Palace but it is what it is if he has made his mind up. Closer to home as well

Yeah, that's why he's moved! He's a professional footballer seeking to the best he can with his career and has the good sense to realise that you might have to move to do that.

Many, if not most, European games, in the early stages at least, have to be switched to larger grounds to meet UEFA requirements. Thus Connah's Quay Nomads, who for some inexplicable reason forsook their ground at Deeside Stadium to groundshare at Flint, were forced to move yesterday's Conference League to Colwyn Bay. Their opponents FC Ballkani hail from the small town of Suharaka in Kosovo, the new Albanian speaking country which was once part of Yugoslavia and then Serbia. The second leg next week has likewise had to be moved to the national stadium in the capital Pristina.
Many Bradford fans will have mixed memories of Llanelian Road. It was there we were stuffed 4-1 in our one and only appearance in the last 16 of the FA Trophy in 1998/99. And who can forget the announcement inviting David Bruce to report to the secretary's office to take Mr Morris's pigeon back to Halifax? Well the ground has improved considerably since then with new seated stands built along both touchlines.
The 1830 kick off was timed perfectly. The last working of the no 23 bus picks up outside the Black Cloak taproom then ascends a big hill and drops off outside the ground. I was surprised to be able to buy a Colwyn Bay PlusBus ticket with Senior Railcard discount for £1.95 from CWB station. There don't seem to be many through fares to "Colwyn Bay + Bus" from England.
The game was pay on the gate but there were no programmes, just team sheets for club officials only. It really annoys me when clubs can't even be bothered to make these available to normal supporters. The gate was 965. Caernarfon Town sold our their ground for tonight's tie with FC Levadia Tallinn well in advance.
The game at sunny Colwyn Bay was entertaining but very tight. Both defences were excellent and it had 0-0 written all over it from the start. The Nomads might still progress as I can't see Ballkani scoring.

Motherwell player Elliot watt has received a four game ban for calling the Celtic penalty in the penultimate game of last season the worst VAR decision of all time.
What an utter disgrace. The Glasgow Football Association should be ashamed. Closing ranks to protect their bent referees and pretending there's not a problem to be dealt with.
Pathetic. They got just what they deserved in the World Cup.
Incidentally......did anyone spot any Scottish refs, VARs or other match officials at the World Cup?
Nope, that's right, there were none. Not even FIFA want refs as corrupt as ours.

I had assumed that Morgan Rogers was a key Aston Villa player around which they could strengthen their team.

Every club is a selling club, every player has his price. Villa no doubt think it’s good business and they can as a team and a club be better with his replacements than with Rogers
And it’ll do wonders for their financial fair play numbers I’d imagine

The flip side is the potential negative impact on the morale of the rest of the squad, and the risk that other players get itchy feet (and/or extra greedy agents). In an ideal world they’ll already have their targets lined up

Have Aston Villa any intimation of which player is better than Rogers and if that player is so very good, surely would cost as least as what they received for Rogers, a matter which any selling club would be aware.
