Mainly about the 6 or 7 (or 8) but the rest of the PL is less interested in the cup because the value of PL places is so high. They get more prize money for finishing 13th instead of 14th than they get for winning the cup, so won't prioritise the cup. That, of course, ignores the kudos of winning the cup as Palace fans will happily testify.
The others are just as bad including my soon to be departed from it club.
but replays have been removed from all "main" rounds. The other year we made enough money from a replay with Walsall ,which was on TV, to cover an entire seasons costs. Not one person cares we lost the replay.

What might have been the reason for the departure after such a very short period of time after the board appointed him. I did hear that the club is looking at its structure in relation to staffing,.Apropos Bury, they appointed a new manager last week who lasted 48 hours....

Flipside is that Exeter City should, at the very least, still receive a decent (six figure plus?) gate share from playing the match up in Manchester, even if the ground is only half full (it might be more!)
it should be a decent crowd as it allows lots of people who wont usually get a ticket to have a chance of getting one. Plus the obvious tourists will still show up!
It will depend on ticket prices and attendance but should be at least £200,000.
Exeter City have been advertising tickets at a top price of £15 (ST holders) or £20 (General sale), less for concessions/juniors u18.
So, if there’s an average price of £15 and a crowd of 40,000, that generates £600,000 and Exeter get 45% of that.
Think Exeter City actually get half of the net receipts, after deduction of all expenses. And £100,000 of the £600,000 gross receipts (if that's the figure) will, of course, be accounted for by VAT. The match should still be a nice little earner for the Grecians.
They are not a non-league team so it’s 45%, with 10% going into the “pool”. That’s my understanding.
