Given the state of the opposition, that’s hardly anything to crow about. When was the last time Celtic didn’t manage at least that?
Losing to the Kazakh champions was success? 8 points behind Hearts after 9 played?

I'm glad Rodgers is gone but his time at Celtic - both spells - hardly constitutes failure.

When Radcliffe were promoted from the Northern Premier League, Premier Division, I thought that was a step too far, but this particular result did surprise me.

They seem to have recruited well. Their squad has a lot of experienced players in it who’ve performed at National League level. For example got the odious former Alty striker Jordan Hulme, two former Halifax players in Lois Maynard and Dan Gardner, the goalie Hewelt came from Tranmere, George Glendon was at Chester for a few years, and Hallam Hope has played for Oldham, Morecambe and a few others

It’s a nice little setup there, although I suspect they’d need to do a fair bit of work to go any higher

And the chips are excellent

Yes - they have recruited well, have the chuckle brothers in charge ( Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley - a duo who know this league and the north west NL scene inside out) have a good budget ( if not as small as the chuckles makes out) and have brought in players from higher leagues, they are well organised and have sensible tactics for this level.

Yes there is the administration process to go through but coming out of that should give us a clearer future than the last few years.

It is still going to be hard. We at Darlo have been through 3 administrations. Happy to act as consultant if required

They're decent blokes, albeit a little beholden to their media image from the early series of the Class Of 92 documentary. Get them chatting away from the cameras and they're good fun and as you say very, very knowledgable about the non-league scene in the north west.

Yes - they are decent blokes - there is quite bit of front but they are good guys. They enjoy a bit of needle as well which goes against them. They didn't do so well at Spennymoor but they were out of thier usual pool

The goings on at Rangers & Celtic this season sure has made the Scottish Premiership more exciting & interesting than in previous years. It will be interesting to see if Hearts can keep the momentum going throughout

Every match we get half the team changed, different formations and tactics in increasingly desperate attempts to find something that works, so far nothing has.

If you play just two up front at home and have players running around like headless chickens, you get what you deserve...nothing. Failed to score against a side that's conceded 34 goals in 16 matches in the National League.
Worst display of the season, but congrats to Gateshead, hope you get a good draw.

I know this is non-league but during my membership of this website, but Hyde Unted FC (the holders of the 26-0 record FA Cup defeat by Preston North End in the 19th century) after two years membership of the Conference Proper, suffered the following triple relegations:-
2014 ... Relegated to the Conference North
2015 ... Relegated to the Northern Premier League, Premier Division
2016 ... Relegated to the Northern Premier League, Division One North

I looked up Wolves consecutive relegations, they managed to finish bottom on all occasions but the relegation from division 3 when they were next to bottom on goal difference.

Meanwhile, in a better place is my club, where our early season momentum continued unchecked with a 4-0 drubbing of Dundee. Played 11, won 9 drawn 2 and 9 points clear of Celtic in 2nd place.

I'm not certain we'll win the league of course, but I am certain our CEO isn't going to sack our manager because the crowd is singing his name instead of theirs........like a certain Mr Romanov 20 years ago when we were in a similar position. We finished 2nd that season......

I remember that season well. George Burley had you off to a flyer. I think it was the Christmas game, where Steven Pressley scored two headers to bring us back from 2-1 down to win 3-2, that the pendulum finally swung our way. And we won't mention 1985/86...

Scottish football needs a strong Hearts. Anyone generating sustainable competition is good for the game - and I say that as a Celtic fan. Enjoy the rest of your season (but not too much!)

West Ham beat Newcastle 3-1 and if they beat Burnley by 3 goals they go out the relegation zone.

Incidentally Burnely was the match when the fans lost it and entered the field of play after West Ham went 3-0 down.

They had a sit in after the Newcastle game but it looks like the passionate fans have had enough and gone.
