When Radcliffe were promoted from the Northern Premier League, Premier Division, I thought that was a step too far, but this particular result did surprise me.

They seem to have recruited well. Their squad has a lot of experienced players in it who’ve performed at National League level. For example got the odious former Alty striker Jordan Hulme, two former Halifax players in Lois Maynard and Dan Gardner, the goalie Hewelt came from Tranmere, George Glendon was at Chester for a few years, and Hallam Hope has played for Oldham, Morecambe and a few others

It’s a nice little setup there, although I suspect they’d need to do a fair bit of work to go any higher

As a supporter of said team, I actually see it as a step forward hopefully. Yes there is the administration process to go through but coming out of that should give us a clearer future than the last few years.

I heard that the supporters group lifted the "no pound in the ground" ban yesterday as soon as it was confirmed he wouldn't be the recipient of any of the money spent from now on......and the club shop promptly turned over 75 grand yesterday. As long as you have fans like those, and the legend that's Barry Bannan, you'll be fine.

Im hoping to have my tattoos removed soon or cover them over. Id love to see them go broke. I could say worse but respect the site.

I think this is glossing over the facts somewhat.

Chansiri initially invested heavily (gambled) on getting Wednesday promoted, and it nearly worked out. Most Wednesday fans were very happy with Mr Chansiri during that period. Obviously, that level of investment didn’t pay off and there were inevitable consequences.

This administration is the best thing that could have happened to Wednesday. They were likely to get relegated anyway, and now they have a clean break with Chansiri and will come back from League one stronger in a few seasons time.

West Ham do what Arsenal do and count sold (or freebies) tickets. No stadium is ever truly full as on the day supporters intending to go get ill, have an accident, car or train breakdown or a something else unforeseen. Season ticket holders whether there or not often get counted.

Blimey, what a time to be (the partner of a) Sunderland fan. And to think I gave up going to watch Halifax v York when a spare ticket in the away end came up yesterday.

Never liked Chelsea, and it must be hard supporting them on days like today. Loads of talented players but no team spirit on show, just lots of rolling around on the floor. Cough. Pedro Neto. Cough

A lot of people had been throwing doubt on Sunderland’s good start because “they haven’t had any tough matches yet” but today put that to bed

Agree totally with what you state, the optimism around 2015 for a few years was great. Feels very much like a spoilt child though in how he dealt with things post that period (including relegation and moving forwards again).

Given the lack of transfer activity in the summer (well most players leaving) and no pre-season games I had always thought the best position would be 20th and survival, but that we would be favourites for relegation. The only amusement so far has been that our City neighbours have tried to do worse than us in terms of performance, but think they have now turned the corner.

On way back from Chelsea & agree with your post, this Chelsea squad for more than this season is lacking quality throughout with exception of a few, even as a fan I don’t get at times the ‘media positives’ most games it’s negative slow play & lack of effort & passion.

Other to that I’m a happy Chelsea fan
