By the end we were cheering the opposition, just to get rid of the clueless berk

This is such a shock because whilst we haven't started the season well we haven't look that bad. Perhaps far to open at times but only getting beaten by the odd the goal after playing quite well. This performance and result have just come out of nowhere and the manner of it was absolutely shocking and unexpected.

Like I said, I have seen BAD over the years and I cant, honestly, recall a worse showing and it is worth noting we got beaten 8-0 last season! We have to hope it is some kind of glitch.

Football is a VERY strange game. A worryingly professional defensive effort from Darlo secured a scrappy win on the road after last weeks FA Cup clown show. Incredible. Unrecognisable form last week. Like 11 different players.

Oh, hang on - we went 442 and stropped trying to Pep ball it out from the back! That helped.

Another twist in the Scottish Premiership this weekend as unbeaten leaders Hearts beat 3rd place side Kilmarnock in a comfortable looking 3-0 away victory yesterday, while a listless Celtic were defeated 2-0 away to Dundee today. Celtic could have played all day and wouldn't have threatened a goal. There was a Celtic fan protest that delayed the match, and things on and off the field are not looking good for them at the moment.

Hearts are now 5 points clear, with the same number of games played, with an interesting looking fixture looming next Sunday lunchtime.......Hearts v Celtic at Tynecastle! We could go 8 points clear.......

A bit early to be declaring that, and I'm certainly not thinking we're going to win the league......but we are certainly playing better than anyone else at the moment.

We have a good manager, good players and an excellent board (we're also fan-owned)......and neither of the Old Firm have any of these.

I was at Dens park on the last day of the season in 1986, so it would be very sweet revenge if we beat Celtic to the league.

I think that might have been Dundee Utd we beat 3-0 away that year......perhaps you remember a rasping half volley from wee John Robertson from 25yds that was still rising as it hit the net.
I remember Archie Macpherson's monologue on Sportscene that night, where he basically awarded us the league. None of us believed it......

Poor attendance? We took our full allocation of 3700 to Kilmarnock......and we're comfortably the best supported club outside of the old firm. After our years in the doldrums in the 70s, we got promoted again and qualified for Europe in the early 80s, and we took 12000 fans to Paris to watch us get beat 4-0 by PSG! Only about 5500 of us had tickets, and I still have a pic of me standing next to a heavily armed CRS policeman with him wearing my Jambos scarf and me wearing his helmet and visor!

I was talking about the attendance at Dens Park yesterday although I tuned in at the closing stages there were empty seats everywhere other than the Celtic end.

Multitude of reasons for Dundee yesterday. Their fans have been unhappy with their manager ever since he was appointed in the summer, and had only won one game before yesterday so a win seemed almost unthinkable. They also have a horrendous record against Celtic. Yesterday was their first home win against them since the 1980s, and first win home or away since 2001.
More generally, it is also an unpleasant experience to put up with Celtic, and Rangers, fans when they turn up to your ground, so fans of lots of clubs will stay away from those games.
Combine all of the above with the fact it was £33 a ticket I believe, for a game at 12pm on a Sunday, also live on TV, and I can understand why a lot of their fans didn’t go.
