First half not for the first time this season I thought too many strolling & showing little desire & passion especially for a Final however far down the pecking order it is of the major competitions.
They're only stating facts i guess? Got to be in it to win it, and they've only beat everything in front of them.
Of course, if they'd won them in order (Conference, Europa, Champions) it would be more of an achievement. It does seem odd to say "Congratulations! You won the Champions League 4 years ago and now you've managed to win the competition two levels below too!"
The teams in Europe in front of them are much poorer than they were because Chelsea have declined. It's not like they started with the conference league and ended up being European Cup winners and champions of Europe. They've done it in reverse!

So much for all the talk about ticket restrictions. Glad Oldham went up as it just wouldn't have looked good for a side to get promoted after finishing 7th.

Oldham Athletic, having won their play-off preliminary play-off match, were drawn away at much higher placed York City in the play-off semi final, yet still won there 3-0.
Winning the play-offs counts for a lot, and I have no problems with the outcome just as I would have had no problems with the outcome if Southend had been victorious. It is the curious assertion that it "wouldn't have looked good for a side to get promoted after finishing 7th" but apparently does look good for a team finishing 5th that I take issue with.
If it's what is set out at the start of the season it's fine, as everyone knows where they stand.

Not that long since Oldham were in a similar situation as well. I'm not sure that play-off qualification should be based on that.
I can't really begrudge him this. He's delivered a fantastic season for us amidst unimaginable personal tragedy, and here comes the opportunity to move back home and manage the club he supported as a boy. I'd take it if I were him. Thanks to Liam for all he's done for us, and good luck and best wishes to him and his family.
