Spuds and the barcodes winning a trophy in the same season - the matrix is glitching like mad!

What grinds my gears is if United had turned up & made a decent game of it but lost I wouldn’t have minded so muchI flicked between the Spuds match and the national league playoff between Forest Green and Southend, and honestly there was bugger all difference in the quality on show
Absolutely nothing wrong with that.Still, United till I die
Southend United equalised four minutes from the end of extra time, then won 4-2 on penalties.I flicked between the Spuds match and the national league playoff between Forest Green and Southend, and honestly there was bugger all difference in the quality on show
I suspect he will still get fired, they might have qualified for Europe next year but will still likely finish 17th with a points total which in previous years would have seen them drop to the championship.Abysmal match. So little quality on show. Postecoglou has saved his job for now though Amorim is probably safe for a while anyway. One minor plus point: McCoist was less hysterical than usual, thankfully he's not doing the Conference final next week.
This is one thing I've never understood about football. It can be the worst game you've ever seen, an expensive waste of money. Ninety minutes of your life you'll never get back.... But if your team wins you're happy. Not a great game of football by any means, but I'll take it.
Me too mate. Drank a lot of beers with the NW Spurs FB group in Manc last night - work today (with a big client meeting too) was a bit painful but my MD was very understanding, he even joked to the client that I was barely awake due to the big night I had and the result. Poor quality game but I didn't care, got the trophy monkey off our backSpurs fan here, feeling fantastic today. What a relief it was last night. I'm so happy for Ange too.

It certainly was an amazing performanc.Arsenal Women have beaten Barcelona 1-0 in the Champions League final. An incredibly solid performance against a Barcelona team that normally score for fun.
No complaints from me - despite Celtic dominating possession, Aberdeen wanted it more and got the outcome their dogged determination deserved. I did wonder whether some of our players thought all they had to do was turn up - well, they know the answer to that now.Aberdeen win the Scottish Cup with a perfect display of penalty taking and two good saves from the keeper.
I wish them well next season, but with a young inexperienced team (I don’t think any playing on Saturday have played in the Premier League), it will be an uphill struggle. Players need to be brought in, not moved out like their winning goal scorer, who is about to join Brighton! They will be dancing the streets of Seaburn tonight!
Championship play off final: Sheffield United 1 v Sunderland 2
Ask the Sunderland fans. I’m sure they’ll say a year in the top tier is worth it. Better to have loved and lost than not loved at all.Sunderland are already favourites for the drop with many firms along with Burnley and Leeds. Makes you wonder if it's all worth it just for a year in the sun and the parachute payments.

I think the season threw up some unexpected results for the London teams.Great day for AFC Wimbledon. We keep our heads and beat Walsall 1-0. Commiserations to the Saddlers after looking dead certs for promotion at the turn of the year.
What a season for clubs in south London.
Winning the play-offs is a bit of a poisoned chalice. Yes, you get a huge financial windfall. But, crucially you are also 4/5 weeks behind the two other newly promoted clubs in terms of transfers and preparation for the already uphill struggle of surviving the PL. It will be a herculean task for Sunderland to survive. Stranger things have happened though!Huge amount of quality around the middle of the table now in the Premier League. At least two of the promoted three will go down. Hope it's not Sunderland.

Also, as a Leeds season ticket holder; I’m already looking at the PL for one existing team that might drop into the bottom 3 to spare us relegation, but I can’t identify any likely candidate…
Very much the archetypal game of two halves. Very satisfying! KTBFFH.Chelsea have won the UEFA Conference League, beating Real Betis 4-1
