Moyes won West Ham the Conference League, so it’s a bit unfair for them to hate him.

I was at the game today. Hate is a strong word and I don't think the majority hate Moyes, just believe it's time for a change.
I know he won us the Conference League, however the football the majority of the time has been dire. Our current league position is not a true reflection of how good we are, with a number of wins this season we have not deserved at all (Burnley away being one). I go to football to be entertained, not sit there for 90 minutes watching absolute dross. I don't mind losing a game if the players have had a good go, but today was diabolical with no effort from anyone.

Yes, but the major concern is the bottleneck on the motorway, not good at the best of times!

But if it's going to be busy it will mostly be at an otherwise quiet time. Traffic will be much more concentrated after the matches end than beforehand.

Due to the weather and postponements, this is a re-arranged game so they have had maybe 2 weeks notice or so. Last year the drainage at Radcliffe (where Bury played) was so poor and games simply not taking place, we moved our final "home" games (bar the last one) to Mossley thus inconveniencing players, fans, opponents, officials, volunteers etc, but at least all the remaining games got played!

Just love non-league at this level!!

Why should a match between semi-professional NWCFC teams receive more preferential treatment than a match between fully professional teams in EFL division 2 which might have a ten-fold larger match attendance?

Men against boys really. Swansea were very naive in trying to play open, expansive football against us and we picked them off fairly easily.

More importantly, our equally prolific running-partners -Southampton- are actually losing a game by two goals, for what seems the first time in an age, so we go back 2nd if that game finishes that way.

I'm very pleased to hear Sven-Goran Eriksson has been granted his wish to manage Liverpool, with his appointment as manager of the Liverpool Legends team for their uncoming game against Ajax Legends. A thoroughly likeable gent by all accounts, I'm glad he has been granted one of his final wishes. I'm looking forward to being in attendance.

Typical... Huddersfield softened them up but couldn't quite get over the finish line, only for Bristol City to swoop in and steal the glory!

Tomorrow we face Sunderland at home, over two weeks after handing Darren Moore his P45. If you'd told me then that Moore would have a new job (he's just joined Port Vale) before Huddersfield had found his replacement I'd have thought you were taking the Mick!

10 - 1 Bury beat Skelmersdale couple of weeks ago! Most goals I've seen in a game, previous one was Bolton 6 QPR 4 way back in something like '69/70 ish.

Fortunately I missed West Ham 10 Bury 0 (not sure if Bury didn't score though - I've erased it from my memory!)

That only is for level 9 or higher, park games don't count!

In the good old days of Division 4, in 1962, when I was 17 years of age and in my first year at Manchester University, during a cold snap in which many games were cancelled on Boxing Day (Wednesday 26th December). Oldham Athletic's home match at Boundary Park against Southport went ahead with Oldham running out 11-0 winners. A few days later, on Saturday 30th December, the scoreline in the reverse fixture was Southport 0 Oldham Athletic 5. That gave an aggregate 16-0 Oldham Athletic performance in a period of only four days. I think that Bert Lister was centre-forward for the Latics and scored a hatful of goals in those two matches.

A couple of years ago at the Victoria Stadium, Gibraltar, I expected Netherlands to put double figures against the home side, but they struggled a bit and only managed 7. One game that I didn't see NL only managed three v Gibraltar if memory serves. France only beat them 3 - 0 once as well, again expecting a cricket score.

On telly we all remember Brazil 1, Germany 7 don't we?!

My favoured non-league side are unfortunately still the holders of the largest FA Cup defeat in England. Hyde FC as they were known then were drawn away against the most-highly rated English league team, Preston North End, the match being played at Deepdale on 15th October 1887. Preston North End were 12-0 up at half time and did not let up in the intensity of their attacking in the second half, running out 26-0 winners.

Thankfully, Scotland can boast even heavier defeats by even larger margins....

When I was 14 I qualified as a Referee on a course held @ my School. My first ever games was in Arundel (West Sussex) and the home team won 36-0. My Father who'd driven me to the match was on the touchline and at one point shouted 'do you need a new pencil Ref'
