A very comfortable 4-1 win for Leeds today against Huddersfield. Leeds absolutely tore Huddersfield to pieces in the first half, but took the foot off the gas in the second half which was a bit of a disappointment.

Glad you did go easy on us for the second half, we're in a terrible state from the boardroom downwards. People called Neil Warnock a dinosaur, but Darren Moore's approach to the game is twenty years out of date. Some absolutely stupid decisions made by the people running the club, and I'm more certain that we'll be relegated this season than I ever was in the last few seasons of struggle.

I don't expect us to be threatening the top end of the championship any season, but I fear I'll be drawing a pension before we threaten the second tier play-offs again.

Darlington 1 v Spennymoor 2 - Congratulation's to Spenny for wining their cup final. Darlo routed to the foot of the table. Going down faster than the titanic. We have made a mistake in appointing Josh Gowling. Played 6. 2 points. Admit the mistake and get him out.

Moore was - on paper at least - a rational choice. However, any manager brought in mid-season is always left with a difficult task in terms of working with players that they didn't choose. I actually think I've seen 3 teams already that are worse than you, so I think there's hope for you yet and relegation is not a foregone conclusion.

Queens Park Rangers have sacked Gareth Ainsworth, he was only appointed in February after a decade at Wycombe.

During today’s 8-0 win for Bayern Munich against Darmstadt Harry Kane scored from inside his own half.

Thanks for the kind words... if there are three teams worse than us in the division I'm not sure I've seen all of them yet! The frustrating thing is that the last managerial change wasn't necessary at all. We were doing okay with one of the most successful managers in the history of the second tier, and we've swapped him for someone who may well be a nice bloke but struggled to get a club with an enormous budget out of League One (though he did so with 96 points, which in any other season would guarantee a top-two finish).

It's early days, but so far Moore seems far more of a "dinosaur" than Warnock ever was.

That’s one of them. Came to ER to park the bus, and continued to defend and time-waste when losing for half the game. Makes no sense to me…

That’s the Ainsworth way.

It was the same against Sunderland in the playoff final 18 months ago. 1-0 down early on and kept the same tactics (deep lying defence, minimal attacking, Sam Vokes offside all the time) until the last few minutes.

And talk of QPR (or as my Fulham supporting mate refers to them, the bitter hoops) and Sunderland reminds me of this alternative report on Sunlun winning 3-0 down there last season. Work of genius.

Another win yesterday against QPR, a fantastic 13 out of 14 wins in the League. 39 points now and no less than 14 points above 3rd place Leeds who we play next Friday. Its too easy in this league.

It was his way of doing things all through his time at Wycombe (which made a last minute winner against them even sweeter!).

Chelsea 0-2 Brentford

Third consecutive win at the Bridge.

First half was shocking but we frustrated them so much from all their missed chances and our defensive backline that we were able to go on top in the second half, and performed well at that.

Pinnock was outstanding, as he’s always been this season.

Onto West Ham at home!

Not sure they'll be worse than us for much longer now Ainsworth has gone... even when we beat them last week, we raced into a two goal lead then sat back and invited them on to us. We were pretty lucky to hang on in the end and that was Moore's first and only win. Every defeat has been a heavy one by a three or four-goal margin.

I see the 3 teams promoted from the Championship are now the bottom 3 in the Premier League.
Between them they've played 30 games of which they've won 2. Scoring 23 goals and conceding 74.

And three days later a few miles away Nigel Pearson has departed Bristol City.
Totally deranged decision. He's sorted out our wage bill and the injury situation has been utterly dire. The chairman said that he wouldn't get us promotion - give him backing rather than forcing the sale of our best players for no corresponding benefit, and I guarantee he would. Results haven't been great but I can't think of a better manager we're likely to get.

With Sheffield United making the worst start after the first 10 games, in Premier League history. When was the last time all three promoted teams from the Championship to the Premier League, were relegated the following season?

Makes you wonder if it was for non-footballing reasons. Pearson does have a track record of being sacked from jobs where, from an outsider's perspective, he seemed to be doing well.

Apparently, Manchester United have now lost more games since Fergie left than they did in the entire time he was manager there.

They were awful. City barely got into second gear and were toying with them by the end.

The rags had lost it by the end, Antony would have been sent off had the ref not taken pity on him, and Fernandes could have gone as well

Abellio’s 2441 has been brought by Go Coach, and has been stripped for parts, having been off the road. Last time I saw it was in July 2020
