Yeah, I meant Everton. Ha ha. There weren't many Man City fans heading back to Liverpool last night from the London direction although I do know at least one.
That train home from Lime Street last night wasn't very pleasant while we were sat in Lime Street as the blues got off the train from London. At best it was undignified, at worst it was scary for the majority of passengers on the train I was on who were "civies". It must be pretty depressing to support a team which gives you a season highlight of celebrating your local rivals not winning the league by one point. Apologies if that seems provocative, it isn't meant to be.
This season was much less gutting than 2014 when it felt like that would be our only chance ever before we lost our best players and have to start again and it might be decades before we got another chance.

Probably celebrating that they were the last team to take points from Liverpool so for some of the fans they can say Everton stopped Liverpool ending 29 years of near misses
What a depressing achievement. Hammering on the windows of a train full of none football fans because in February you partially stopped Liverpool winning the league.

Their home match in the play-offs ended in a 1-1 draw tonight, so Tranmere Rovers now progress in their place, having won on aggregate.

Four of the five National League North play-off matches were decided by penalties with Blyth, Altrincham, Brackley and Spennymoor all losing out to spot kicks. Only Bradford had the decency to lose at football!
It's a crazy system - the only good thing about it is that Chorley deservedly went up having finished second just a point behind Stockport County. But I'll miss my annual visits to Victory Park and the excellent micropubs in the town centre. For once, Northern weren't even on strike when we played there on the last day of the normal season - so I could have a few.

Street word is that we should be getting Farsley Celtic, Kings Lynn, Kettering Town, Gloucester City & Oxford City in the Conference North section next season!
Regarding the Salford v Fylde game, half if not more of the attendance were neutrals attracted by the early-bird £20 tickets. It was £35 a ticket after that.

Much appreciated! A six-year-old me was one of the 10k, having travelled on the footex from Huddersfield to Wembley Central via Denton.
I do not regularly attend Man City home games but they are regularly on the telly and the atmosphere often comes across as poor. Perhaps this impression is miss-leading?
Seems there is now a video doing the rounds of Man City players singing their fans version of 'Allez Allez Allez' which references Mo Salah being injured and Liverpool fans (Sean Cox) being battered in the street.

Indeed - there have been threads about this in City forums. There are two vocal "singing" sections in Etihad, either side of the away fans.
Whenever I go to away matches it always seems that the away support is more vocal, or at least equal, to the home side.

This coming Saturday will see the second-leg of the Scottish League Two play-off final between Berwick Rangers and Cove Rangers, with Cove Rangers holding a 4-0 win in the first leg. As Berwick Rangers are a club from outside Scotland, what will happen if they lose this final on aggregate?

I'd imagine that the reason they currently play in the Scottish league (travel distances to away games) will still apply:- so I imagine their preference will be to enter the Lowland League. Though with Cove coming from the Highland League that does complicate things. Is there much history in Scotland of teams making "sideways" moves between the regional leagues?
If they were to enter the English pyramid, I imagine they'd have to enter at a fairly low level of the non-league system.
