Wolves 0-2 Liverpool.

Top of the league at Christmas, with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk (his first league goal for us) scoring today.

Full credit to Wolves, they played very well indeed.

Was among the Wolves faithful at Molineux last night and I can’t complain at all - both goals were excellently taken and we kept on to you guys fairly well. Liverpool would be deserving Champions on the basis of the performance.

Our Pre-Game Light Show by the way was most memorable; an absolutely breathtaking 5/6 minutes!

Hyde expectedly won this match at home to the bottom of the table team and consolidated their 10th position in the league, in this their first season back in the higher level of the Evo Stik league. 32 points from the first 22 matches at mid-season would seem quite acceptable after last season's promotion from the lower division.

Leeds 3 Blackburn 2

Leeds dominated the first half, taking the lead through an OG. Just after HT Blackburn were awarded a soft penalty which changed the game. From then on, both teams were really going for it with some great football on display. Blackburn's Charlie Mulgrew scored a great freekick which our keeper could only push into the back of the net, he then proceeded to pompously celebrate his 'winner.' Cue much time wasting from Blackburn. However, Leeds' Kemar Roofe bagged two in injury time to send Elland Road into ectasy and put Leeds 3 points clear at the top.

Hull at ER on Saturday. Hull are finding form now, so this should be interesting.

Terrible day for Oldham and this is side who only conceded seven away goals all season before this match.

This defeat cost Frankie Bunn his job as Oldham sacked him yesterday evening. righted was on wall back in early November that Bunn may lose his job but surprise he lost his job yesterday as knowing Wednesday result was bad one, Latics have improve lately and only couple good results away from getting themselves into play offs.

A resurgent Hull ended Leeds' 7 game winning run. From fairly early on in the game it felt like it was going to be 'one of those games' for Leeds. Fair play to Hull, they took their chances and defended well. They were the most organised team at the back that we've faced for a while also pulling off 2 goal line clearances and their keeper a couple of good saves.

I was expecting a defeat over the Christmas period, so considering the position we find ourselves in and the fact that we look to have a genius manager, this is the best I've ever felt about losing a match. Last time we lost we won the next 7. Bring on Forest.

Tottenham Hotspur 1-3 Wolverhampton Wanderers

The scoreline I think may describe things perfectly! A stumping 72nd minute Willy Boly header, a 82nd minute strike by Raul Jimenez and a 87th minute counter attacking finish by Helder Costa gave us our 6th consecutive win and no doubt one of our finest ever at Wembley; a record stretching back to the FA Cup Final of 1949!

Were back to 7th in the Premier League, with Crystal Palace our first fixture of what could be a defining 2019 on Wednesday at Molineux.

And once a batch of New Year Stewarding Shifts in Sheffield, Manchester (at Old Trafford today) and London are done, I'll be among the 31K+ in attendance!

While it might look like we have turned the corner I am concerned that the up turn is based on short term loan signings. Nelson (who has 6 in 4 games including goal of the season yesterday) is only with us for a few more weeks then we will be back to square 1

No "pantomime score" on Saturday by Fort William as they did not play, but their more-than-able deputy Lossiemouth did not disappoint in producing a comedy score ..... Fraserburgh 10 ... Lossiemouth 0

Lossiemouth's record now reads P22 ... W1 D0 L21 ... GF 18 GA 106 ... Pts 3 .... Guess who was the team that they beat this season.......

A late equaliser keeps us top of the league at the year end after the ref had let Boston back into the game with the softest penalty award I have yet to see.

And it was a rare opportunity to travel by rail as I could avoid engineering works and Northern strikes. But 7 trains there (Little Sutton - Hooton - Chester - Crewe - Stafford - Tamworth - Nottingham - Boston) and 6 back (via Stoke not Tamworth) was verging on a personal record, each outward leg being longer than the one before. But the promise of having an ex-Grand Central HST to redo the Grantham avoider failed to materialize after the game.

12 of the 13 trains very quiet the exception being the busy Trent Valley stopper. All 13 were on time and the aforementioned working even had time to make an unscheduled stop at Bottesford to let off a couple young ladies who had inadvertently passed through on a non-stopper.
