That's the worst I've ever seen United play against us.

Robbie Savage on the radio was quite er savage about the quality of the Manchester Untied team calling it the worst in a generation. The Pog cant even get a run out. Something is very wrong. Mourinho, a fantastic manager, and his tactics look like something from a different age compared to City and Liverpool.

I agree with you on this. Although United are currently in sixth at the moment, I can't see them finishing there (never mind the top four) at the end of the season.

It’s interesting to hear Mourinho and Roy Keane both say that the players basically aren’t good enough. I can’t help feeling that the right person managing them could get a decent tune out of that team.
I know that they probably need to strengthen, but it’s more to with the way they’re managed overall. He’s just not a long term project manager, and year by year he’s becoming more and more stubborn as his particular style of football is being left behind.

After 17 matches played, an eight point gap has opened up between the teams in fifth and sixth position.

I only managed to catch the last ten mins and united looked like they really didn’t want to play. No chasing ball, no closing down. In a game like that they should of been giving their all till the end. I can’t stand united but it was shocking to watch. It definitely when not if for mouriniho going.

I think MOTD2 coverage was a bit odd. Made it look like Man U were in the game. Apologies, I am terribly biased in this matter, ha ha. The first twenty minutes my breath was taken away by both teams.

Huddersfield 0 - 1 Newcastle

Once again we put in a decent performance but lose out to the odd goal. We weren't quite at our strongest with Aaron Mooy out and his main deputy Danny Williams also injured yet again. We did okay though with Juninho Bacuna and Chris Löwe both stepping into the vacant midfield position at times and linking well with Alex Pritchard.
We still can't score though. Laurent Depoitre looks unfit and has done all season, Steve Mounié will no doubt return against Southampton but he hasn't scored all season either. If we had someone who could put the pig's bladder in the onion bag we'd be mid-table and comfortable.

As it is, we may well be swapping places with our near neighbours down the A62...

Jose Mourinho has left his job as Manchester United manager after two and a half years in charge.

The Portuguese, 55, won the League Cup and the Europa League at Old Trafford.

But United are sixth in the Premier League, 19 points behind leaders Liverpool, who beat them 3-1 on Sunday.

"A caretaker-manager will be appointed until the end of the season while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager," United said in a statement.

I’m a United supporter, will be till I die.
Not been to many matches just lately, my glory time at old Trafford was in the late 70’s & early eighties.
Went to Fa cup final in 76,77,79,83,85 & 90 to watch them.
As much as I hate the reds from Merseyside I hoped they’d lose against Liverpool as I had a funny feeling that Mourhino would go if they lost.

If the caretaker does well then they will appoint him full-time. If he does not fare so well they will get rid of him for the reason that he was only the care-taker till the end of the season.

This will be the first staging of the destitution el classico for 11 years and already the police are polishing thier truncheons and ordering new pepper sprays!

Never will such a tin pot cup have seen anything like it. It will also be the first big game at our new ground possibly the first time we have segregated for such a volatile fixture and not a night for faint hearts.

The possibility for trouble is at 100%. The excitement levels are already high and lots of the old school wrong uns have crawled out of the shadows. Sigh.

I remember turning up fifteen minutes late at Feethams in November 1974 after naively travelling to Ayresome Park expecting to get into Boro vs Newcastle without having first bought a ticket in advance. As I arrived, the Darlington Constabulary were escorting a goodly number of Hartlepool hooligans out of the ground. Hartlepool won 2-1.

A few years earlier, at the same place, I remember being engaged in conversation with the late referee Maurice "Knees-Up" Fussey who congratulated us on the point Bradford had just earned. A friend quickly added "It would have been two if it wasn't for you!". Happy days.

Was among the Wolves faithful at Molineux last night and I can’t complain at all - both goals were excellently taken and we kept on to you guys fairly well. Liverpool would be deserving Champions on the basis of the performance.

Our Pre-Game Light Show by the way was most memorable; an absolutely breathtaking 5/6 minutes!
