Yes, as a neutral, both decisions were correct so what were the Palace fans and Roy Hodgson moaning about.

Winchester City have two wins out of two so far this season following a thrilling fightback against FA Vase winners Thatcham. After a poor first half, the home side burst out of the blocks and Reece Rusher opened his Winchester City account from a tight angle before a spectacular effort from Joe Cook levelled things up. City had the visitors under the cosh but with fifteen minutes left Ollie Bailey reacted badly to being manhandled and was sent off. With six minutes left Thatcham thought they'd scored but the referee judged the ball not to have crossed the line and while half of their players celebrated City went up the other end and Tyrell Mitford slotted the ball under the visiting keeper to give City the lead. Thatcham threw everything forward in the last minutes, but City held on.

In the Netherlands we have this season the VAR. Video Assistent Referee; some penalties were given and some goals disallowed. It influences games.

That pink dressingroom for the visitors at Norwich City did not go well.

Morecambe 0-2 Oldham

Two quick fire goals mid-way through first half was enough for Oldham to beat Morecambe and this result leave Oldham just outside of play offs.

Shame Northern have to had strike on today as I planning to go to this match until notice there were no train service from Lancaster to Morecambe or even replacement bus service running at all. :{

Bournemouth Poppies, that is, not AFC Bournemouth. A scrappy game which was decided by a late penalty after the visiting keeper had denied Winchester on repeated occasions - including saving the spot-kick, but failed to hold onto the ball and Tyrell Mitford made no mistake on the rebound. The visiting players weren't happy and continued to mouth off to the referee after the match.

The first "real" game of the season and what many had billed as the first "six-pointer" began with drama after a collision between Cardiff's Mendez-Laing and Town keeper Ben Hamer (who was probably lucky to keep his place after gifting City 3 goals last week) resulted in both going off injured. It felt and looked like a Championship game with no big names on either side. Both sides lacking any real bite up front meant a pretty uneventful first hour other than the injury, but Warnock has his side well-versed in the darker side of the game, and Harry Arter managed to provoke a silly reaction from Jonny Hogg resulting in the latter being sent for an early bath. From then on it was a show of desperate defending but our unwillingness to gamble and get men forward is a worry. We're playing like rabbits in headlights at the moment and seem scared to get more than two players in the opposition box at any time.

Our time in the top flight has been an adventure but I fear it'll be coming to an end next May unless we can shake the fear that seems to be gripping the squad.

Now they have seemingly solved the goalkeeper issue, do Liverpool have what it takes to mount a challenge for the title?

I think it's safe to say that the core of the squad is very strong, but do they have the depth for when injuries and suspensions kick in? I hope so, as always had a fondness for the reds and would like to see them back at the top of the tree

The Sunday Times gave the result as Fort William 2 Formartine United 0. I was so shocked that I came online to check. It was indeed a misprint.

Great 2-1 win for Bradford at Hereford yesterday. Now 3rd in the table and punching way above our weight. Nobody expects it to last but its good to have 13 points in the bag before August is out.

I'm very impressed with Alisson so far, he has been excellent.

I think Liverpool's first XI is very good and the substitutes' bench is decent, but I don't think we quite have the strength in depth that City has at the moment. For this season, I'd be more than happy with a trophy and a strong challenge for the league title.

Hoping to make my first Bradford game of the season tomorrow, not been since the Kidderminster league game last game of last season. Going to be a rush to make it after work so hope there's no hold ups on the motorway or I'll miss kick off. Think it was the Non-League Paper who tipped Bradford for outsiders this season. Great start so far.

From a neutral point of view I think anyone challenging City would be much preferred to them walking all over the league again. Wolves certainly helped yesterday.

Talking of Wolves, there has been a good article on the BBC Sport website about them and whether they can become another Man City. Their owners are full of talk of title challenges and Champions League football at Molineux and they certainly put their money where their mouths are last season by signing Champions League quality footballers to play in the Championship.

The big question is, does anyone actually believe that the Wolves 'project' could lead to success or will the owners realise just how much cash is needed and panic before leaving them with a mountain of unmanageable debts?
