Those odds were for actually winning the World Cup, not for anything else. That was made clear in my posting, which I ask you to re-read.

even so - the odds are generous for England. A 73.3 % chance that England will win the world cup? If that isnt trying to buy your money I don't know what is!

One thing that hopefully will be not heard again by the end of the current World Cup competition, is the "Scummy Gnome" "tune" that the broadcasters seem to love.

No idea what you are talking about. Can you clarify?

EM2 in the posting immediately above this one seemed to know which it was, so there is no clarification required.

But why couldn't you have just posted the name of it in the first place, rather than being continuously difficult?

Hopefully we win tonight and go on to win the whole tournament, then they can play the damn song for the next four years for all I care.

It may be German-owned and wearing a Dutch kit, but Yorkshire Tiger is backing the three lions:D:

Apologies it isn't the best photo .

Late addition to this story: the bus I'm on (identical to the one above and bearing the same message) has overheated 5 miles out of Huddersfield...

Football might well be coming home, but I'm not! <(;)

Italian club spends obscene amount on a player likely to move on for an even more obscene amount to China in a year or two...

Seems legit.

Fourth Advert Break in 45 mins and I bet there will be another one before the 7pm Kick Off :(

Just pray I can watch England in The Final on BBC 1 on Sunday as will 80% of viewers given the choice.

Does anyone prefer ITV's coverage ?

The ITV coverage is pretty rubbish in comparison to the BBC. As for the final, it is being broadcast on both, it'll interesting to compare the viewing figures for the two channels!

Edit: You weren't wrong about the ad-break just before kick off!

Good first half - England should be at least 2-0 up if not more.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a "clean win" in 90 mins.

Typical England.

Football thought about coming home, but having seen the "quality coverage" from ITV it decided to extend its 52-year round-the-world backpacking trip.

Good point, if it had been on BBC England would have probably got to penalties - and then lost:E

Cunyet Cakir doing what Cunyet Cakir always does against English sides. Disgrace of a human being.

Just about the only time I've ever agreed with Alex Ferguson on anything.

Needless to say, hopefully Croatia will beat France on Sunday.

Bad luck England, the dream is over for another few years.

I agree. This is probably Croatia's last chance given their average age. However, they have survived three lots of ET, whilst France have had a day (and 30 minutes) longer to recover. I don't particularly like the French - too many egos and they don't have the style of Belgium. Of the four semi-finalists; the other three seemed to have more of a team ethic - something sarguably lacking with Belgium and England in the recent past.

Tonight on balance the better team won unfortunately - a game of two halves indeed !!

Agreed, Croatia definitely the better team. They stifled Kane. And gave loads of space to Lingard because they know Lingard is an idiot.

I'm still blaming Lingard for their winner, standing there doing naff all instead of tracking back and challenging the players on the ball. Useless, he is, been saying it all tournament. Should have started with Dier.

England overachieved in reaching the semi final so while it is sad to be knocked out we have to take the positives and build on this. I think offered a semi final on day one we would all have taken it. We cant let it be 28 years until the next one!
