I think i detest the cheat Sergio Ramos more than the prancing show pony that is Christiano Ronaldo.

"Prancing show pony" is not an apt term to describe a players with the number of goals scored from both shots and headers (people forget he scores headed goals) that Ronaldo has scored at all levels of football. One would think you were describing a player who gave the impression of exhibiting pseudo football skills but achieving not very much in real terms.

I wouldn't have consoled him. He was rubbish and cost Liverpool a shot at the title. Don't worry Lorius it is ok, don't worry we ran our nads of for 90 minutes just for you to give them two goals. Cheers mate.

The Salah incident wasn't a foul. It was a defensive tussle. Ramos and Salah were battling for the ball, interlocked arms and Ramos made sure he pulled Salah back. it wasn't a premeditated foul or example of the cheating behaviour that Ramos regularly displays, Anyway VAR ruins football.

He isn't a team player and is interested only in himself. He is also a bit of a big game bottler and flat track bully. He is a great player but his personality and behvaiour on the field is not attractive. I much prefer Lionel Messi

They are both great players - that is why their behaviour winds me up so much. It is SO unnecessary. They don't have to cheat to win.

As for Karius, the guy is finished at Liverpool, has to be. Even in the last four months where people have been trying to convince themselves he is improving, he's always had the mistakes in him. In several of those matches he got away with it, in particular when he constantly parries the ball back into danger. He got away with it against Roma when the ball fumbled through his gloves and hit the bar. He got away with it last night for with the parry that led to the disallowed goal. We all know what happened next, there's a reason Man City got rid of him.

He is done. Klopp is very loyal to his players and has an admirable belief he can improve them but that loyalty has cost him here. The lad simply inst good enough.

I'm not denying that if Liverpool actually want to win major trophies, they'll need a better keeper... but I doubt even Klopp will be able to find one who doesn't have those mistakes in him- because ALL keepers have a mistake in them. David De Gea is considered by many to be among the best in the world, but even he has been known to screw up on several occasions.

Having made two costly errors in such a high-profile game will be tough to recover from for Karius of course. Luckily Liverpool have a perfectly decent goalie who's been warming their bench at best this season: one with international tournament experience; a pretty good record at saving penalties; and who kept a clean sheet in arguably the most high-pressure game in English football only a year ago.

I'll pin my colours to the Exeter mast too. For the 3rd tier play-off in a couple of hours I'm hoping for a Shrewsbury Town win, but I predict Rotherham will do it.

So What? The number of goals he scores will do nothing to change my opinion of him. I don't care if he scores 4000 goals. I still dislike him.

In any event the goals for Madrid are scored in a soft league deisgend to hand them or Barcelona the title. Tackling seems forbidden and teams just stand off worshipping the great man. His record for United impresses me more but I still don't like him. Nothing will change that

I quite like Mignolet, if only because his agent is or was Nico Vaesen, former Huddersfield and Birmingham keeper (the move to Small Heath being yet another reason for Town fans to dislike Steve Bruce).

It could be renamed the European Super League Cup, being as runners up, third, and fourth placed teams participate in the tournament which makes the present day Champions League tournament a misnomer. Then a new tournament called European Champions Cup could be introduced, with entry restricted to teams that have actually won the top flight division.

The fashionable and big branded teams would have their own tournament then.

Villa will be spending a third consecutive season in the second tier, which I did have an inkling that would be the case due to having had an end of season wobble and finishing in fourth place.

Tom Cairney and Ryan Sessegnon paired up to score the only goal of the game in the first half, while Denis Odoi having been red carded in the second half with 20 minutes of the match remaining. Sadly, Villa could not make their numerical advantage count.

Assuming the dirty Bluenoses are still in the second tier*, that should hopefully be a minimum of 6 points on the board for next season.

*PS I never pay attention to what the Bluenoses are up to, except when they play against the far mightier and far superior Aston Villa.

Sad about the Villa but i couldn't see them not struggle in the premiership at the moment. Maybe its better to be competing at the top of the championship than yet another low to mid-table grind to mediocrity which quite frankly our last half dozen at least seasons in the PL were.
