The atmosphere at Anfield tonight was the best I have ever experienced. It was a great game and best of all, Liverpool kept a vital clean sheet ahead of next week's second leg at the Etihad. I'd have taken a 0-0 draw tonight, but a 3-0 win is a brilliant result.

Relieved at keeping the clean sheet. Really good for the second leg unless we get taken apart like last time at the Etihad. One goal from us will make it very difficult for them though. Regarding the fans I was disgusted at the behaviour of some of ours. Regarding theirs there was a Man City fan on the 21:55 Lime Street to Oxford Road generally intimidating members of the public, standing on chairs, banging his fist on the roof panels and shouting about killing Scousers. His mate walked down the train asking if anyone had a Swiss Army knife he could open his bottle of wine with. Thoroughly unpleasant company.
Amazing game and yes like you the damage and agro with the coach was not good.
I don't recall Karius having to make a save. I don't think it was just our defence. Their attack was awful. I was worried once Salah went off and then Firmino but they seemed to have nothing once Sane brought the ball forward. No one who looked likely to produce anything. I hope it stays the same at their place but it won't. They are too good a team.
We did have a few off side shouts in our favour.

First time for 18 months they have not had a shot on target in a match.
To be fair they should have had a Penalty and Salah was offside for the first goal but Liverpool justifiably emerged victorious.
I think we've got a good chance of scoring at the Etihad, they'll have to go all-out at home which suits our style of play perfectly.

The atmosphere was unreal, best game I've ever been to.
Hopefully those hooligans will be banned for life, totally unacceptable behaviour.
I think the signing of Virgil van Dijk has a lot to do with it, he's a great organiser and leader. What a player.
It doesn't sound too serious, more of a precaution. Hopefully he'll be rested on Saturday ahead of the next leg next Tuesday.

Hopefully UEFA will throw the book at Liverpool for the unacceptable behaviour shown by those 'fans' by attacking the team bus.
While I agree UEFA will probably fine Liverpool, I always think it's unfair the club cops the punishment when it's individual fans that threw bottles and objects (same with pitch invasions etc). Liverpool had done the responsible thing and liaised with the police and council to reroute the bus.
Was good to give City a hiding for 45 minutes though.

I don’t know if you could say that really.
For the first ten minutes City looked the better team, it was only when Salah scored that they started to fall apart.
Not condoning the actions of the idiots that did this as it was wrong and embarrassing. But I’d find it hard to imagine that it made any difference to the actual result.
I doubt it. I don’t think any of City’s players were affected. If anything it should have fired them up.
Give it a rest. A few cans of Strongbow were thrown and that meant City couldn't handle the Liverpool press? You sound like you came straight here from Bluemoon. It's nearly as hilarious as those comparing it to the Dortmund team bus bombing.

City were very poor, no doubt about that. And some of the players played down the impact of the attack.
However, it was way more than "a few cans of Strongbow". Anyone can search for themselves to see the mob, the toxic atmosphere and the lack of protection offered by the police or stewards and the resulting damage. I hope UEFA go after the club, though little will be done.
The fans who took part in the attack are absolute scum but I doubt UEFA can throw the book at LFC anymore than they could throw the book at Man City for their fans raising hell on the train I caught home. It happened away from the ground.
Little will be done as I don't think UEFA can do anything about stuff that happened away from the ground. I don't think LFC are responsible for providing stewards along the entire route the bus took from the M62 to the stadium. It would be a civil matter dealt with by the police. If any of the scum bags are identified I would hope the club ban them though as I am sure they will.
