York were not playing today so I feel a bit more jolly tonight.

Newcastle won their 8th game in a row but we face also on form Leeds after the international break. Their first sell out in 6 years and they are treating it as a cup final, could be very tough.

BTW, my England v Scotland ticket doesn't have a barcode but it has a QR code. Is this a new design of ticket for the FA or am I missing a part! My England v France ticket last year had 2 barcodes on. If by chance one of the other 89,999 people attending happen to be on this forum and have their ticket, I would be happy to know but am 99% sure it is probably a new design.

I was dreading what might have occurred on current form for Hyde after the 4-0 drubbing away at Radcliffe Borough in the Tuesday mid-week match in an away match to the league leaders who have a very good home record but the score was still only 1-0 after 80 minutes, then both sides then scored in the last ten minutes.

Circumstances decree that Hyde have four consecutive away league matches, of which this was the third of them. Hyde now drop a further place to 17th position in the league..:cry:

Yesterday's game against Bordesley saw a return to the levels we've come to expect, unfortunately the result saw us robbed of 2 points thanks to inconsistent refereeing and spoiling tactics from the opposition.

My second team Taunton on the other hand led twice against a team from three steps up the pyramid. Unfortunately they were pegged back twice against a Barrow side who lived up to their reputation by having a man sent off for violent conduct.

Man city, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all look very good so I don't so much think a false dawn is a fair consideration because of how strong the league is. I'd be quite happy getting top 3/4, which is a massive improvement on recent years barring the one year under Brenda since Rafa left. Spurs are still unbeaten despite being nowhere near their best, so when they get going I imagine they will be a force to be reckoned with.
I can't decide on man Utd at the moment either.

I'm the same, top four is my minimum expectation this season, so anywhere around there I'd be happy with and would say it's been a good season. It'd be nice to qualify for the Champions League again and maybe win a trophy as well, but I'm happy to take each game as it comes and see what happens at the end of the season. It's great to be where we are, but I'm not going to get excited yet.

I think Klopp had a great transfer window, I've been impressed by all of the signings so far.

It'd be nice to keep more clean sheets I agree, but at the moment it's not so much of a worry for me because we've been outscoring the opposition. As Klopp himself said, we can always improve, and I think over time our defence will improve.

I think Karius played well today though, a much more confident display from him.

FA Cup second round draw took place this evening and Oldham got away trip to National League side Lincoln, happy with that draw as is non-league team but possible cup upset as Lincoln going well in National League (I see they are second in table) and Oldham haven't performance well this season.

Some good ties for Non-league team in Round 2 if they get past replay.
