Seriously if when the fixtures came out anyone had told me we'd have 7 points from the first 9 I'd have called the folk in white coats! Also never thought that our 4th league game (home versus Barnsley on Saturday) might be the most tricky of the lot, but with them ending the last 100% winning record in the division by beating QPR 3-2 I'm now worried. First time we've not been the underdogs, in the league at least.

EDIT: A read back through the thread reminds me you're a Bantam and not a Magpie- I was thrown by your location being listed as Newcastle. On that basis my sour grapes comment was unwise!

I'd have thought that you'd want Wells to do well though, that's certainly my attitude to former players unless they're playing against us!

If we had a big fat 25% sell-on clause I'd want him to be banging in 30 a season for you, in order to get a big move to the Premier League. Like we got off Leeds when they flogged Fabian Delph to Villa.

But as we don't, I don't. I still can't get why he moved to your place. I don't wish him ill, thanks for the memories and all that, but I honestly can't hope he does well.

Shane Duffy has now scored 3 own goals, been sent off, and pulled of the captain's armband in a strop at half time - all in 2 games...

I'd be shocked if there wasn't a sell-on clause in the deal, things like that have been standard for years- we got a share of Blackburn's profit on Jordan Rhodes and Ipswich got a share of our profit on him. If there isn't a sell-on clause then the blame lies with the Bradford City board for not insisting on one, not with Wells. Presumably he moved to us because he'd have got a modest pay rise and one step closer to the top-flight. As I understand it he was also settled in Yorkshire so didn't want to have to move house.

I can understand you being a bit miffed that he moved to a local rival, but he isn't the first to move down the M606 in either direction. In fact it was at least the second time we've broken our transfer record to buy someone from Valley Parade, but the less said about the other (Lee Duxbury) the better!

Hope you get up this season though, we'll need a replacement derby when Leeds get relegated!

By the way, what do you make of Jordy Hiwula-Mayifuila?

In my season accumulator I went for West Ham to get a top four finish, but then again I went for us to get promotion so I don't think my predictions should be used as a guide! Also backed Bradford for promotion though...

For the title my head says one of Chelsea and the two Manchester clubs, but my heart says Liverpool or Spurs.

I've not seen Jordy, I don't get to many games living up here, but he scored the winner for us at Peterborough. It's a good start. But then Devante Cole, who was born four yards offside, had a good start last year. We'll see how it goes.

I think with Wells it just left a bitter taste how he agitated for the move, being a very disruptive influence, only to end up with you lot. Bit of a smack in the gob. But he got us out of that bloody League Two, and his replacement Stead gave us that day at Chelsea, so meh.

As for promotion, not this year, if we stay in the top half I'll be happy. Parkinson took everything with him to Bolton, were starting from scratch. Just hope McCall's time in Scotland has improved him.

First win (in league) for Oldham and third clean sheet in row too after seeing them play for first time this season if feel we have good side and could trouble teams this season but our final third is bit of worried and feel Oldham need other sticker before transfer window end.
