I feel quite sorry for Roy on the sidelines, aware that his career is basically over. At least he can go back to the nest and spend more time with his wife and owlets.

Woy must be feeling wather wowwied about the impending wesult. To be honest, I'm not too surprised that we are seeing Eexit today, I had a feeling that England would bugger this up. Oh well, at least Cymru are still in.

Oh my gosh. Iceland are through - and they've knocked out England. Wales are still in too! Expect bitter English fans saying that Wales are only doing well because of Gareth Bale - they have plenty of other great players too.

Good to Roy Hodgson though - he was a really good sport, shaking hands and greeting the opposing management warmly afterwards.

If England are kicked out the Euros, does this mean that they can't be in the EU any more?

Ah well, the 10 year wait for a tournament knock-out game win continues (think the last time England won in the knock-out round was in 2006). Who will take over the thankless task of managing a team of players who (for some) think that playing for their country is below them?

Nice touch by ITV - instead of using Paris town centre in their sting, they used St Pancras Eurostar station with an 'exit/sortie' sign in the foreground.

Well I didn't like that result so I'm starting a petition to get the game replayed

Delighted the apology that is England had their backsides handed to them on a plate. If I was paid the money that they are I'd hand it all to charity, if I performed that badly, and then resign. At least our Rugby boys played with pride and passion in Australia. Football, well you can stuff it. Pathetic stuff.

Let's get this right, this is no "shock" - I saw Holland play Iceland in the qualifiers and Holland barely got a shot - at home. It was even worse away (saw that on the telly) and it's simply 11 v 11, except one of those is a team.
