England and Russia both warned by UEFA that any more trouble and they'll be thrown out.

Something I think is very unfair given there seems to be few reported Russian injuries whereas there are multiple injuries to English fans... Plus the Ruskies were clearly tooling up and entered a stadium armed with a gun

It did seem to be Russians causing most of the trouble but unfortunately England does have a reputation which is hard to shake off.
It very much looks like the Russians who got rockets, fire crackers, clubs etc. into the ground must have had help from French searching staff as it was taking 45 mins to get in with thorough searching.
UEFA will be very reluctant to throw Russia out of this tournament, England though would be seen as the easy option.
Welsh fans will have a big incentive to start trouble in the England match now knowing the consequences for England.

Which is probably why UEFA have done it.

I will reply simply by asking how much is a human life?

If the gentleman that is critical dies, things have to be taken to the extreme and Russia either eliminated from the tournament or made to play behind closed doors

Agreed. I don't care how much influence Putin has - it doesn't excuse Russia's actions.

UEFA's main purpose is to find new and inventive ways to blame and punish England. Or at least it is if you read this thread

You know, I'm wondering if the suspended 6 point deduction is wiped out or is still possible

So it seems - Uefa is not fit for purpose

Why should England, a country that has won nothing since my 21st birthday year in 1966, seem to feel that UEFA should choose them in preference to any other second-rate country team to be subjected to blame and punishment.

UEFA should look to top-flight international teams to "blame and punish" where the effect will be far more noticeable.

Simple. We've given them less brown envelopes than any other country over the years.

Shame that Northern Ireland lost. Now we've got Ukraine vs Deutschland, I expect that the latter will win.

If all goes to plan I will set the stopwatch during half time.

Nice of the commentator to talk over the start of the Ukraine anthem <(

Confirmation bias is a thing. Love how the mirror is reliable now

whilst i am sure you know best i have heard from friends who were in the area ( and got out of there asap) and they back up ( pretty much) what the Mirror say.

Feel free to believe what you like, I will rely on people i know and trust. BTW have you been to many England away games?

If they were indeed wielding baseball bats like the Mirror says then you can't get one of them in without French searchers letting you.

2-0 Deutchsland - the panzers have rolled over The Ukraine once again. Poland will be next (reverse order :p)

Northern Ireland will need the luck of the ......

Lineker and co doubting their credibility

They still managed to get rockets and fire crackers into the ground, A Russian world cup in 2 years is going to be a real joy.

My mate who was out there said the searches into the stadium were virtually not existent, said it was a quick pat down by a steward type person and then straight into the ground. He said the searches when he goes to away games over here are much more. Reckons he could have got anything in.

I'm meant to be going down to Lille on Wednesday for the day for the Russia Slovakia game (couldnt get Thursday off for the England game), really don't know if I can be bothered to now.

Maybe the Russians will give them a good kicking and send them back to Berlin, and not for the first time!

More like stab them if recent events are any indication

Although I want England to win, I'd love to see a Russia v Ukraine match

No operation Barbarossa will succeed this time - unless they get held up in Yugoslavia (by Croatia ?) like they did previously.

That would make England v Scotland look like kindergarten by comparison

There'd be the potential for pitched battles to break out!

Hands up all those, on looking at the Ukrainian teamsheet, saw the similarity to my surname, but using the Ukrainian spelling...:D

I missed it, what was it?

The Ukrainian central midfield player with a squad number of 16 was Serhiy SYDORCHUK, which is not so far removed from my surname,

I kept looking at the screen trying to spot a 373 on the pitch - so used am I to your avatar!

Were you rooting for his team?
